Very nice set up you have - I have looked at a variation of this circuit when i built a newman motor from a microwave oven transformer and another variation appears in the control circuit of PC fan motors - the ones without hall sensors - it's a very clever circuit and quite beautiful in its simplicity - the decoupling of the trigger coil is certainly an interesting take

You definitely got alot of nice equipment. What's the approximate weight of the rotor/flywheel when finished. I bet doing interlocking pie pieces to make a larger wheel would be a pain
Not sure what it weighs I'm on hold right I have some replacement parts coming in tomorrow for my 3d printer Iv already tired printing the second rotor 5 times already I gave up and just ordered new parts should be up and printing tomorrow or after I still need to come up with money to buy filament
