When I came to face to face with Ezekiel Mutua, my fans supported me and I thank you for that. However, I was the hardest hit by Ezekiel Mutua that most of my band members have gone on asylum including myself incase you don't know. What you "mainstream" artists refused to do is support me as an "alternative" artist. I knew your day would come. Now, you can see the damages that he is causing to you Nd not gays anymore. EZEKIEL MUTUA the video is a form of empowerment for women of colour, especially dark skinned women throughout the world who are constantly put down by the media and society, their beauty is questioned causing some of them to bleach their gorgeous skin. These young men are being role models...seeing beautiful black women coated in dark skin was the best thing in 2017. Their was no nudity, there was art!! I think Mr. Mutua wants to ban it because seeing beautiful black women showing some skin is "too real" for him.
What is the big deal . We see lots of foreign videos worse than Melanin. I’m fucking enjoying melanin in the USA 🇺🇸.

After watching this interview, I went back to play the Melanin video again. I am confused! Where is the pornography in the video? Like Bien rightfully said: the song is about empowering our African women. Looking around, we see so many of our beautiful African women bleaching their skins. Self hate is pretty predominant among black women and Africans as a whole. This is a powerful song and I am all for it. Whoever watches the video with pornographic intent obviously has a lot of issues and need to go see a specialist for help. SAUTI SOL Keep the fire Blazing! Lot of Love from this Ghana boy! I'm so confused about this controversy. Melanin is so important to those of us who are of African descent to see ourselves as beautiful in our own skin.

I like the song Melanin, and some of the lyrics sound very empowering to black women. However the some lyrics sound sexist, like 'she bend over, back breaker'... The video is tasteful nudity. It is. Nudity. And its should be classified as over 16 or parental guidance material. The video although high quality doesn't show both men and women equally naked or equally dressed... Women are definitely being used as sex symbols. Which is not empowering, it is a violation. Sorry Sauti Soul. Stay true to the art, don't follow trends.
