We used to surf the south coast back in the day and Kimmeridge was awesome, especially mid winter, surfed it in the snow which was so cool. Back then we were pretty much on our own…. Bench on other side was crazy! It can get big there on its day, Thanks for the vid! 👍
Well, you can surf a fish on a ripple, literally. You had fun, didn't collide with anyone and generally respectful for the most part. Good form in such small conditions. Well done, I'd call a day like that an absolute winner and super fun to boot. 😊
Dude just found your channel amazing vlogs I started surfing 3 years ago aged 55 on the Isle of Wight and started a TH-cam channel to watch my progress, and just subscribed to to you dude can’t wait to see more
Glad ya like it! Finding it really loosens it up and gives it tonnes of speed in weaker surf as a twin… I think the power twin would be even better than the MR’s though! Also enjoying it with the trailer when I want to surf a bit more in the pocket with a bit more bite through turns!
@coasttocountry completely agree, but everyone should know their limits! There are numerous beach breaks in Dorset that are perfect for learning on, Where they wouldn’t be putting themself’s and others in danger.
@@austinbrocklesby im 43 been surfing a year. Im close to kimmeridgebut been told it can be pretty serious both waves and localism. Im shocked at the way other surfers paddled straight out into your line i have been taught to avoid that at all costs. Im not paddling out there until i can hold my own with you (on a slightly chunkier board) 😊
@@coasttocountry it is, but looking at the footage it appears that like most other UK spots surfing etiquette has all but gone, other surfers paddling for the shoulder and impeding the wave, not sitting in the lineup and shoulder hoping, dropping in, etc, etc... its a common problem in other than the most hard-core spots, and bloody irritating, if people want to surf they need to learn how, not just paddling and standing up but hiw to behave in the sea and know their place.. There are a lot of self entitled twats in the water these days who don't even know or care about others.
@@Jon1Surf1Lim Ye very true. It's common sense more than anything. I filmed so many near misses at the weekend, a couple of guys could be heard shouting and clapping. One guy nearly got taken out by a board, he wasn't very happy. I do get it completely
Ah yes, my bad… sorry for giving away the long kept secret of kimmeridge… as you can tell from the vid only a handful of people know about it, let’s hope it stays a ‘secret spot’ 😂
@@justinf1343 it can for sure… I’ve only been up here in Dorset for 2 winters at uni… haven’t scored it that good so far as usually I’ll drive home to porthleven for a swell! Hopefully get to surf it more this winter!

Nice spot, really scenic. Good waves too, easy surfing...

Sheesh! Every man and his dog out in that lineup! Traffic jam!
drop in king
Very happy to claim such a prestigious title
Add to that a bit of a snake 😉

@@austinbrocklesby🤣 yeah. Do that with every mean comment on TH-cam. I sleep soundly. 😂
That might be the kookiest line up I’ve ever seen
Eat crow hater trole, get blocked
Not that crowded… seen a lot worse. Once busted in at 7am in December and had the place to myself. Rare moment. Great footage an d technique. 🎉
next year another video 👍
Yess Austin!!!

ripping the mid austin, the crowds look hectic🤣
Cheers boy! Yeh full bowling alley!
That’s so much closer than Newquay…I’ll have to get out there. Nice vid :)
Looks like an annoying lineup, fun wave tho
Nice mate - I just got the Interceptor and love it. Riding it as a trip-fin. How do you find it as a twinny?

@@austinbrocklesby thanks mate. Sounds like it’s worth a shot! 🤙🏼
What size interceptor you riding?
It’s a 6’6… I’m 5’9 and usually ride a 5’10 28 litres shortboard if that helps
@austinbrocklesby just got a 6'8 seaside kinda wishing i went for one of these instead looks great! Good surfing by the way!
This effort wasn't Thursday a couple of weeks ago 😂😂 that was big. Kept the foamies well away that did haha
Can't even escape the foamies there FFS 🙈

You can’t beat Kimmeridge on a sunny day. The Ledges can get pretty big.
