    Good tip.
    The point here is simple. If you are a woman with a job/career and making any kind of reasonable money, INVEST some of it. This will build wealth in the long term.

    I hope you ignore some of the bullshit these other guys spew out.
    It's good advice. I come from a family that routinely lived under the poverty limit, and I still don't legitimately have a High School Diploma, but by investing in myself and learning to work with computers, I've managed to put away 1350 a month, and I'll probably pay off my school fees and finally go to college sometime soon.

    Exceptional advice....Invest and ALWAYS ask for what you want. I have
    never wanted to work on Wall Street because of ulcers. I have the blood
    pressure of a 15 year old and the pulse rate of an athlete and I like
    it. There is not enough money for the stress of Wall Street...

    I don't get why there's so much hate here. Ensuring one's financially alright is useful for one's career, it's good advice. Asking for raises is partly why men get more raises/bonuses, women need to do it more to compete. 7x testosterone makes guys more aggressive and assertive so it can be hard to mimic that, social norms are obstacles too. Hating business professionals, and assertive women separately, and feminism/egalitarianism is worrisomely popular right now. Please grow up guys, not everyone is a skewed unemployed in-debt millennial, or a conservative sexist, who hates innocent professionals/women with careers... Yes America is insane with its tuition and for profit healthcare but that's not all we can talk about! TH-cam comments have a trend of being negative then more reasonable... Cheers

    • @hassanalzaher3893
      @hassanalzaher3893 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TH-cam is always negative when it comes to comments. Racism, Xenophobia, Politics, Sport, Gaming.
      That's why it's quite used for victim-role-playing by many so-called communities, while the real life is something else.

    Why do people on here hate on the rich? You can blame capitalism and the patriarchy, and whatever else, but ultimately this is a woman who made the best of those circumstances. It sucks there are working class women out there who don’t make enough, but there are SO many resources out there to chance your situation. Complaining with an absurd idealistic mindset is NOT one of them.

    • @ebrown0071
      @ebrown0071 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not afraid of women advancement in the workplace. What I am against is the top-down hierarchical organization of the workplace with bosses, CEO's, major shareholders, and boards of directors, where workers do not own their own enterprise. Slapping a female face on it, a minority face on it, or a homosexual face on it does not change the simple fact that corporations exploit their workers by making millions of dollars off of their hard work while paying them less than. Corporate capitalism is THE ENGINE of socioeconomic inequality which the corporate feminists like HRC and Sallie Krawcheck support with their classism. This is why HRC loss the election. She had no program of economic progress for poor or low-income people of either sex other than more welfare crumbs while enriching herself and her corporate donors.

    I respect the sentiment of this video, but most people think of investing as buying stocks, maybe bonds. Entering the stock market as a retail investor is terrible advice. Worrying over whether you invested in the right companies and selling them when they're losing is a good way to chip away at your savings.
    If you want to take advantage of the general trajectory of an industry or the market, buy into an index fund. It automatically matches the composition of companies that the DOW or NASDAQ has in order to match their performance over the long term without you having to obsess over individual companies.

    invest? in the macro spectrum the more people invest on large entities the more likely the bubble will burst so invest in what you can physically have an impact on otherwise you'd be playing a lottery where the odds are shown to you but you cant do anything to change them in your favor. we think we live in an infinitely growing economy but we live in a finite world were competition dictates growth and loss. sometimes competition and selfishness in gain can endup being worse because we forget the micro of the individual which adds up and makes the macro boom.

      People are paid what their time is worth. It's a simple exchange: the value of the employee's output exceeds the employee's value of their own time. The wage is in the middle. If things get out of whack, the employee quits (time value exceeds wages) or is fired (wages exceed output).

      She mentioned pay gap in the context of two "identical jobs" with one employee being a man and the other is women. She meant indeed pay gap in similar jobs. She attributed that though to men being active and females being passive. So she doesn't blame the men, neither the boss, rather the women.
      Feminism at the end each trip will collide with the same obstacle: females being females. Nature is never beaten. They will try hard and think they're right, ultimately they will gain nothing but troubles to themselves and to their men.

    I sorry, but if i hire a man and woman cashier, why would i pay a man more ? That make no business sense. Who in their right mind would pay someone more for just being born a different gender. About investing money, that's a carrier, and you men and women have to know where to invests especially when starting out on a tight budget. About the work place, if don't ask for a raise then you probably you do not need it or want it.

    • @hassanalzaher3893
      @hassanalzaher3893 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Women tend to attend work less hours than men, and take more days off. They tend go to more "comfortable" jobs than more "paying" jobs. Yet they collect the data and want women in the sum to take as much as men.
      Capitalism would let everyone dies before taking that crap seriously.
      Another factor is that males are better and stronger negotiators with their bosses which is a career skill. And bosses and even female bosses tend to listen to male employees much better.
      Of course whenever a woman is doing as effective as a man in any job, I'm totally with giving her the exact same salary.
