Jesus is very alive. 11 years later and I still find myself coming back to watch this.
I like how a metal artist is doing this
I am not religious and i don't have faith, but Mattie is inspiring. The perception he have is amazing, '' We don't worship some theological concept, We don't worship a book, We don't worship any religion ...We follow a king! To see how he is devoted to ''him'' leave me speachless. Faith is a beatilful gift i wish i could have.
Just ask God to give it to you ❤
He loves you man. That stirring in your heart is the Father drawing you to himself. Ask him to rescue you and give you true life. He'll sustain you, carry you, and make you whole unlike anything in this world can. Trust Him with your life, you will not be led astray.
Seeing them live was one of the most intense moments of my life. When I get in the pit at any show it is spiritual for me and is the best feeling ever but when I got in the pit for For Today, it broke me down and built me up again spiritually, like the spirit engulfed my body. I am proud to be a Christian man. Bands like For Today make me realize how important God is in my life and how prominent his spirit is where I go.
Oh wow.. I just love hearing this man speak he has such an anointing of the spirit!
I'm not Christian but I've been cheated by a few, however this man and the band seem real sincere about their message and about jesus. All the best to them.
Mattie Montgomery is a man that walks the walk with his faith. He is a humble and kind human being. I was blessed enough to cross paths with him in Toronto Canada.
I went to a show with For Today and Stray From The Path. It was to showcase the Breaker album.
For Today put on an awesome show. I got turned around and walked through the wrong doorway. I was standing in a room with a bunch of people and wasn’t sure where I was. A few people seemed very surprised I was there and I had a feeling I was not supposed to be there.
I apologized, and felt embarrassed and Mattie stood up and came over to me. He made me feel more comfortable by being friendly and talked to me. He was genuinely kind to me when he didn’t have to be.
Thank you for showing me humility that night my friend. I am still a fan of your music and relive that show when I listen to the. Breaker album still.
You are truly a good man and I will never forget that kindness you showed me.

I never actually liked For Today until I saw them live at Creation this year. Now I just can't stop listening to them. They put out such a powerful message.

My God is not a dead God, He is Alive he know me He knows you and He want to make you a servant an warrior against the devil army's that are standing in these nation in this continent. We can be the light, is just starting to make a part and not stop what the Lord can and what He will make in are life's, praise the Lord!
And thats the way it should be. We should be living Jesus and not the church.
So it is me, cause God lives inside me and through me, we are the elite team and He is the Alpha and the Omega.. And listen to Mattie where he's saying, "He's alive! And He's able to change lives today!"

This is what a true soldier for Christ acts and sounds like.
i want to go out. preaching out for Jesus. they might have know that they would die if they did this, but still did it. i pray that i could have that kind of courage and faith. God bless those martyrs. i hope you find your faith again, God bless you.

Man God has put such a passion in mattie! I get chills just listening to him....may God bless him and all of For Today
regardless or anyone's thoughts/opinions/beliefs in regards to religion (including my own), this mans passion for music and what he believes in is REAL. The conviction he has is rare. If I were to choose to go to church, I would at least prefer this man as the "pastor" because he does NOT lack conviction, does NOT lack heart, does NOT lack passion. The kind of man who could lead you into a battle and you'd be glad to stand beside him. True conviction is contagious.
It's sad to see a person that has drowned this deep into lies and illusion. It really is extremely sad.
its great to know we can follow a god who came to save us and cares for everyone who is broken up in the spirit.
I'm a young pastor and I actually did a sermon on being fearless and what it means and I understand that it is a relationship, but for me, it's more an engagement, I'm the Bride of Christ, like Tommy Green quoted, "I got a fat crush on him, we're engaged, no big deal, we're dating exclusively, it's all good!" cause we are, we're the bride and we're fearless because He stands before us in his protection and satan bows down before us because of what He's already done for us.

Hallelujah. Im so happy i found this band today. I was walking through best buy and picked up their new album just reading the titles of the songs and i thought i would give them a shot. Wow..this spoke straight to me.

He died so that we could live. He truly is the Son of God. That's what I believe, and even though people were murdered for what they believe in, He gives us the right to believe in Him and to stop being afraid of the bad things in life. It says in the Bible that God is close to the broken and that it's our job to spread the good news. You never know how long you have on this earth or with the people around you. So For Today and other believers spend their lives telling others about it.

I agree with you wish to be more like Him and to be a follower, but you are aware that praising Him is a lovely fragrance to Him? Praising Him doesn't mean being a "fan" but giving Him the honor He deserves.
This message from Mattie was soooooo powerful I don't see how anyone could not be moved by the Holy Spirit from watching this and I can't imagine the Holyness of God that the people who were actually witnessing this felt because this gave me chills and made me raise my hands to God and it was an inspiration to me and MY band. We should all take example from Mattie's courage and wisdom in the Holy Spirit. Thank you Mattie for that message and God bless you! :'D

MaharlikaAWA What I think Mattie was saying is that you don't HAVE to read the Bible cover to cover for Christ to call you son. You don't have to study the Bible in order to be saved. If you listen to Mattie preach you'll soon realize he encourages it. As do many other "christcore" band members. Go listen to Tommy Green from Sleeping Giant preach. Mattie and Tommy have changed my life in ways I can never even comprehend because they have shown me how to get closer to the Worth Lamb. I hope you can understand. With love, God bless!
You don't HAVE to read the bible to be saved, but if you're truly saved, works will follow, and you'll have a yearning to read.
the only way to know and to get closer to God is to read His word. it's every Christian's living bread. our spirit cannot live if we don't feed it with God's word. How will you be able to know and claim God's promises for you if you don't read His Word? :) How will you be able to conquer any problem you face when you don't know God's Word that would strengthen you? "Your Word is the LAMP unto my feet and the LIGHT unto my path." Psalms 119:105 Be blessed!

He came down to let us know what's up (literally), and still provides miracles today as he did in human form on Earth. It is known that Christians would suffer for proclaiming the gospel. Think of all the murdered disciples. And obviously heaven is a better place than here, so for a Christian, death is gain. This is from Philippians 1: 21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. I'll be praying for you dude. Just seek truth. Always seek. He's listening.

It's like Jesus is the key, and the God the Father is the door of the House. You can only enter in His Kingdom, if you have Jesus in your life.
