@@anonymouspacificislander1630 This film is about Polynesians specifically Tongan, can we just own this space to damn selves!! There are plenty of opportunities and times when we can all acknowledge each other but honestly, this is not that time. Also culturally speaking, Melanesian's are closer to us and if the truth be known, go to Hawaii, and you find a lot of Hawaiian's feeling a certain way about Micronesian's...I know Ive been there, there's some conflict there. Anyway, point is this is our space, and we need to just be in our space!

even though for reasons unknown im not samoan or tongan or from fiji but as an outsider i look to absorb knowledge from all walks of life, with that being said your culture has inspired me to keep up the never ending task of observing and detailing in my mind the views i have seen to the best of details and as always the great god or gods have blessed us all now only if other worldly cultures could observe this there's a chance we could all reach a unity.

Cool. In Hawaii the deity is called Kanaloa, and the tree is called Koa. Pretty close. SUGGESTION: For non-Polynesians, you may want to put in parenthesis words like (great) for "Tu'i," which is obviously the same as "Nui" and the translation for words like "Fale fa," which I am guessing is "house of four," or Hale e'ha where I am from. Anyway, great story with a very valuable lesson. Mahalo...I mean Malo :)

We orator chiefs of Samoa still chants the Tui Tonga as part of our family because he is in the Samoan "Fa'alupega" son of Tui Manu'a Fitiaumua, our Tamali'is(High Chiefs) still acknowledge the history of Tagaloalagi the founder of our culture as the head of kings, we Samoans have four paramount kings that still have close relationship with the Tui Kanokupolu royal family, these kings are known as "Tama a Aiga"(Royal families) there are four titles holders Tamali'i-1(Malietoa/King) Tamali'i-2(Mata'afa/King) Tamali'i-3(Tuimaleali'ifano/Tui A'ana/king) Tamali'i-4(Tupua Tamasese efi/Tui Atua/king) the fifth5 one was Tui Manu'a but that title doesn't exist anymore, every time there's a Samoan meeting in the village of Falealupo in Savaii Islands or here in Upolu on the village of Lotofaga, or even in Manu'a islands in the village of fitiuta, Tui Tonga is always chanted by our orator chiefs because Tui Tonga was the son of Tui Manu'a Fitiaumua so we Samoans cannot forget the Tui Tonga kings, if yous Tongans think we're different well guess what our Tamali'is(Kings) are really close, including Tui Fiti the king of is also the son of Tagaloalagi, any kings that has a Tui title is descended from Tagaloalagi

The Tui Manu’a title was created by Tui Tatui. Manu’a (Manuka in tongan) means ‘To Wound’. They bestowed the Tui Manu’a title to the 11th Tui Tonga who was Tui Tatui, because he was the first Tui Tonga to get the traditional tattoo. Tongan kings were considered too holy and cannot shed blood in any way including warfare or tattoo. But Tui Tatui wished to shed blood and get the tattoo hence why they called him Tui Manuka (first king to shed blood/wounded) Samoans are closer to our royal family because most of the kings had Samoan women as wives and all the banished royals went to samoa. They took there house names from Tonga to Samoa hence why we have similar village names eg. Ahau/Asau etc Our royal girls blood were considered too pure and cannot marry Tongans or Samoans so they went and marry Fijians. The Tangaloa clan however lived in Langi. They did not live in the skies 😂😂 Langi is the king’s land/house, Fale is for the chiefs and ‘Api for the commoners. Throughout the whole pacific, Langi can only be found in Tonga.

Nope, Ahoeitu descends from the Ha’a Tangaloa Clan that resided in Langi like many of his descendants after (e.g Ahoeitu to Laufilitonga). Langi is Tonga as Ahoeitu was said to reside there also, he’s only ever lived in Tonga. Great short film 🇹🇴💯

Tangaloa Eitumatupu'a is not the same as in the Samoan traditions Tu'iManua TaeoTagaloa Folasa...
Though he has the Tagaloa name Tagaloa established Tu'i titles
It doesn't meet the time frame ...
TuiManua TaeoTagaloa is #5 or #7 in the succession list of Tu'iManua
TuiManua #40 Elisala passed 1909 ...so 35 title holders back does not predate TuiTonga Ahoeitu .....
Also the false claim he was a defied Samoan chief....if that were so being that his father is a foreign High chief from Samoa ...Ahoeitu would have no right or claim to any title in Tonga ....he would have claim in Samoa maybe but not in Tonga....Even if Ahoeitu's mom was of noble birth ...no chief is installed chief on account of his mother...

bro what I'm saying ahah samoans just make their own version of our Tongan history and run with it like its facts lmao. also worth stating that ngata only became Tui Kanokupolu because his Tongan uncle (dads older brother) didn't want the title and instead advocated for his nephew to take it and samoans run their mouths like ngata got his title because of his samoan mother lol
