    For anyone having potential issues with the GPU installation:
    If you're having trouble getting the GPU covers off, unscrew the metal bit above the 2 covers, take it off, then unscrew the cover that you want to take off
    If you're having issues connecting the GPU to the cable, slip the tail piece of the GPU under the plastic on the right of the connector then push the GPU into the slot with a bit of force

    In terms of installing any kind of fan cables: I strongly suggest installing splitter cables and extension cords to all the fan connectors before-hand. It will help you save your fingers and avoid a lot of pain :)
    I've built in the S400, the bigger brother of this case, and because I've been doing LP cooler tests, I had the chance to multiple times remove the mainboard; after the first test I immediately added said splitter cables to the regular case fan and an extension cord to the CPU fan connector.

    I think you want the bottom fan to blow out not in because it will assist the CPU and GPU blow outside air directly on their components

    I have the black version of the S300. I managed to pack in a 5800x3d and a MSI 3070 ti inside.

      what cooler are you using for the 5800x3d, and how is that cpu performing in this case?

    that riser cable screws down against the wall so if you buy a 4.0 riser cable it will screw down on the bottom of the case .... is there a way to do that ? update .....you have to buy a dual reverse riser cable ..... UPDATE again ....need 20cm and there is not many ,found one on amazon

      Oh, big thanks. Was just looking at what should be the length and type of the pcie riser. Was about to get 18.5cm long. Is it too short?

  • @StaRRFeaK

    How long is the pcie riser cable?

  • @deckwithmatter

    How long is the riser cable needed for the case? Does 185cm enough?

    • @tapts503
      @tapts503 ปีที่แล้ว

      It comes with a 20cm, Gen3 riser cable which should work for anything that isn't the top tier GPU for $1,000. If you buy a Gen4, make sure it's at least 20cm since it fits perfectly.

    • @deckwithmatter
      @deckwithmatter ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tapts503 alright, if the order comes together means I don't have to worry the length

      If it comes with 200mm/20cm riser cable, that’s the recommendation and try not to go lower that than.
      I have a 7.5L, different pc case, smaller than this. The recommended length is 18.5cm/185mm. It was perfect size and snug. If I bought 20cm/200mm length, the cable would have push forward my gpu and it will not get installed.

    *Anyone use Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 RAM with the ID-COOLING IS-55 cooler? Wondering if the RAM can just fit or not. Cheers!*

      This will be your friend: m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61eV9WgI6EL.jpg . It was too tight for my comfort (your results may vary as it's 1mm to tall). I removed the VRM heatsink so I could rotate the cooler the other way.

    How loud is the CPU cooler and are you registering any turbulence specific noise?

    • @victechup
      @victechup  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't hear the whistling noise with it two feet from me on the IS-55. The Fractal Terra has a slight whistling (aka turbulence) noise with the IS-55

    My case came with a 1-piece front panel header cable and it doesn't match my motherboard pinout. Any tips? Mobo breakout cables also don't match

    • @victechup
      @victechup  ปีที่แล้ว

      They combined them into one easy connector. You'll have to find this on your motherboard and make sure it matches the pins on the 1-piece cable. encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSxGIgfNwXlJL0pVDiHRlsNHjgIHGy_JTtbmQ&usqp=CAU

    How thin is the margin between the motherboard and the GPU? I'm thinking of getting this, but I use a rear M.2 drive with a heatsink and I'm concerned that it's too thick.

    • @tapts503
      @tapts503 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no room for a M.2 drive heatsink on the rear.
