Sadly there are a lot of people like the husband. People who would rather live a happy lie than accept a sad truth. He'd rather be taken advantage of than be alone.
@jaimhaas5170 Was certainly the case with my sister's marriage. At least she eventually accepted the sad truth and divorced him and is much better off because of it.
@@meinacco Reasonable? The fuck is wrong with you? No one with even a shred of self respect would willingly choose a happy lie over a sad truth. Husband may have been an idiot but he didn't deserve to be exploited like that.
All I can think about is what she must be going through, that influx of capacity of "feeling", coming on so suddenly, all at once. Almost like an aspect of a person being "born" when they've already lived well into their lives. And the compassion that 13 has for her. Well done.
You'd also suddenly have feelings for every situation from your past in which you didn't before. People like this often times become catatonic or go into shock, it becomes brain overload.
You can all see that she only reveals her true self after house tells that her personality might be responsible for her physical health, classic case of psychopathy
After seeing this clip for a million times, this is the first time I noticed the following detail. House calls her a predator. Which notion is supported by a clicking sound the moment she drops her innocent act. That clicking sound is the noise that the Predator monster from the movies makes. Absolutely brilliant.
I'd probably date and/or marry him without the money or with a prenup. He's a decent person who cares about the people around him, takes decent care of himself and isn't creepy or predatory. Yeah, that might sound like a sad checklist for husband or wife material, but you'd be surprised how many people don't check even one of those boxes or even those that don't check even check two of those boxes. Gotta have all three or I'd rather be single and/or a crazy cat lady for life.
Hey, crazy cat ladies aren't single because we can't find a man. It's because we don't want to. We are so awesome by ourselves, we don't need anyone else. 😁😉
There's a lot of these types in politics and business. Wolves in sheeps clothing. Many don't even recognize what they are - they just assume everyone else is like them.
Did not know that *many* do not understand the condition or know that they are different! Interesting that she chose to be mean: yes that was a sign of developing a conscience, but if she was fully back to normal-probably had forgotten what it was like to have empathy-but if she was full back, she likely would have told him gently something like I am so sorry I used you when I was unwell, but I must tell you I did not love you & deeply apologize for using you"~>& would have accomplished the same thing. But when just returning to herself, she could not understand or fully regulate her response-so did not spare him the contempt-which likely came mostly from her inchoate/developing sense of Shame that her conscious mind wanted to reject!
This isn't actually completely fiction. Well, the changing personalities thing is. But, MRIs of the brain being used to see who's a psychopath of sociopath is real. They just don't light up the scan the way "normal" people would, or, somehow they can tell the difference. It's generally accurate afaik.
The best part now is that all the mental blockers are gone. Her guilt and remorse will break her if he leaves or her remorse will allow him to cheat without consequences ( taking credit is a crime)
There's another angle nobody's considering; that she's not a psychopath, she's just a manipulative arsehole. And she only started playing the psychopath role AFTER House called her that. Making Thirteen afraid of her was just another way of gaining advantage.
Still waiting for the future little gadget you can fit in your pocket, that can sort of safely mri screen a new date’s brain for psychopathy…..It would save us all time and heartbreak…😉🙄
When Morpheus absorbed the Corinthian, the entire Cereal Convention individually turned upon themselves. The patient here is going through the same thing, so why is Thirteen smiling with joy?

Probably half of current marriages.
@jaimhaas5170 Was certainly the case with my sister's marriage. At least she eventually accepted the sad truth and divorced him and is much better off because of it.
And that is a reasonable choice to make. He weighed his options and decided it was more worthwile to have this kind of relationship than having none.

It breaks my heart that people try to avoid noticing, men suffer in toxic relationships too. Anyone can.

Even House was creeped out when she dropped her mask.
One of the best characters this show had.

Probably coincidence, but a cool little unintended easter-egg nonetheless. Good catch!
@@Scarecrow545 with the culture references the show throws, it really could be
And just like the Predator, she has very high cheekbones
I didn’t even think of it like that, I heard a rattlesnake (I wouldn’t be surprised if the predator noise works because of that element too)
Bravo vince
breaking his heart was the kindest thing she could’ve done

Sad that psychopaths, sociopaths, and narcissist magnetize towards the most giving people.
A happy wife does not always mean a happy life.
Real

Agree
Happy wife, fml. 😂😂😂
Coincidentally, "Happy" and "Wife" are sometimes mutually exclusive. You're either one or the other, almost never both😅

They would have needed to have done an fMRI, not a regular MRI, or a PET scan.

I do think that House got wierded out by the fact that he could see a bit if himself in the patient, not that he’d admit that.
*It hurts*
She blamed the husband for the pain she caused.

Why is the lighting in these clips so dark?

You wanting the ability to scan your dating partners brain in secrecy is a lot scarier than any psychopath. That's fucking creepy.
If something feels off on a first date.....it is so dont arrange a second date. Scan done.😊
The vast majority of abusive, cheating, manipulative spouses are not psychopaths. Sorry to say. Won’t save you much trouble.
