I remember this being such a weird game - State dominating the game but committing turnover after turnover, the ABC replacement camera crew (the regulars were on strike) missing the game-winning TD catch, the most egregious missed facemask call I have ever seen, the "touchdown" return on the last play of the game that was nowhere near being a TD, then the refs trying to clear the field for the last 3 seconds which were never actually played. Bizarre, bizarre game.
I just watched the game and I'm not sure where you see state dominance? I see the Huskers moving the ball at will and forcing turnovers. I'm at a loss with the face mask you whine about. But at 15 minutes in the video,I see state prevent a go ahead td with a face mask. At about 10 minutes in when state has it's longest run of season for a first down, state would of been hit for a loss if it wasn't for an illegal block in the back that went uncalled. If this is what you call a dominant performance, it is easy to see why state was the number 5 team in the big 8...
K-State could have won the national championship in 1998. They were the best team and had the best linebackers, quarterback, kickoff returner, punt returner, and kicker in America.
Ran into two very talented teams in Texas A & M and Purdue to end the year. I’m still super happy at what they accomplished in football in 1998. They were definitely the best team in the Big XII that year
The biggest BS flag never thrown. How the hell do you miss that face mask? Seriously, head turned and everything. That ref shouldn’t of ever been a referee again after that. Crouch had a sore neck for a while after that. For that, Kansas State sure can thank the ref for that for sure winning play

I don't blame the weather for that one...I was at that game and there were some big plays that KSU got in that game and Nebraska could not convert when it mattered...KSU won that one fair n square...no matter how much it pained me...
Always wonder if the ref ever saw this replay or all the photos of Crouch’s helmet turned 160 degrees around and got pretty red in the face. K State was due but pretty lousy no call to say the least.

Easier for me to just answer here. Though requests during the current season are much slower due to me mostly watching/editing the current weeks games.
Oh come on...When Nebraska had the kicked ball to win the Missouri game they didn't get their poetic justice. "Wiggins later admitted he kicked the ball intentionally, which is illegal, but there was no way for officials to understand that at the time."
