I would recommend not leaving expression to random but to painstakingly control it yourself (or, better, a combination of both). You often *need* that finer control over expression. Also I don't think the Before - After comparison was entirely fair because the violin sounds usually quite bad with vibrato entirely off. Still like your ideas though, will definitely steal them in my own projects
Of course, rather than going random you can just automate the parameters in other ways, like using envelopes, e.g. by recording them using a MIDI controller. Still, ReaControlMIDI is incredibly helpful also in that situation, because Synful doesn't expose its sliders as VST parameters, so ReaControlMIDI bridges that gap, allowing for full use of the parameters, e.g. using automation items, and so on.
Excellent as always. If you aren't going to pay lots for vsts with round Robins, then a way to create variations in each note is the way to get a little closer to realism, a more natural sound. I wonder if there's a plug in which would switch each midi trigger to a different instance of the instrument? I guess it would have to dynamically reroute to different tracks. Probably not worth it.....
You can use the slots (top of the GUI) to fill 16 different instruments (or the same instruments with different articulations), and then use the notes' MIDI channels to play them. I think I made a video about it, let me check...

As for the before-after comparison, yeah, you're probably right. I only put that on at the last minute before uploading.

I really didn't understand anything until the last 30 seconds 😂
I do apologise. I guess I suck at explaining things, lol
