so true about editors and their editing of your letters, (especially if they don't like your material) i once wrote in response to a conservative complaining about homosexuals being granted "special privilege" laws, (really equality laws). i mocked him in a couple of ways and the next editorial page had my letter in it, but it had been edited to make me out to be gay. now i'm not vain enough to be bothered by that, but it did bother me that they had to turn a hetero defending gay rights into a gay complaining about discrimination, they were trying to turn it into an "us vs. them" type of argument. or they were not convinced a hetero could be for gay rights... whatever the reason, it was designed to influence opinion by choosing and twisting what people were saying about the subject. so to wrap up here, the media is definitely trying to shape and influence the information you get.

When do we start Sara - you know - walking around naked? I had this dream the other night : it was Keith Richards' birthday and he was sitting about in a sauna (naked presumably) and if I wanted to go in to say hello I assumed I'd have to go and stand there naked to... my self-image wasn't up to it! Even asleep and dreaming I didn't feel up to standing in front of Keith (dear humble sweet Keith) naked. So can I please be excused?
Most feminists complain about magazines needing to be different because women keep buying those magazines. To lazy to create a good magazine women want to buy. For men it's different, we just stop buying those magazines. We don't even care about that change, we take away their money. Men buying magazines is very rare. Most just don't bother especially when they tell you how to live. Certainly not complain: FHM told me to become slim and beautiful, it makes me doubt my beauty by standards. Just ignore it and don't buy them. Top put it English style: None of my mates buy FHM and don't bother buying any magazines directed towards us lads. We don't bother!
