14:40 That's how I felt when my local guitar store started carying ESP guitars in the mid 90's. I loved them so much I saved up and bought my 97 horizon for about $3k in 1997. Still have it.
Had one probably close to 2 years ago. One of the comfiest necks I’ve tried and when you get it brand new, the fretboard is beautiful! Shines like glass.
Speaking on fishman. I agree they all have a distinct sound. But with that being said the Willie Adler set in my opinion is the best pickup I've ever had. I have the killswitch, modern, classic/open core and the adler set in some of my guitars...the adlers blow them all away 🤘
I've been very fortunate with Caparison. I've owned four of them over the years and have never paid more than $1500 CAD. I wanted one as soon as I saw Peter Wichers with his in an issue of Guitar World. I've since sold a couple, and I'm down to a Horus I'll probably never get rid of, which I got in a trade (it has a Floyd and the guy wanted a Caparison without one). Absolutely great guitars that have EXPLODED in cost.
I own both the jsm and this metal machine and although they are indeed pricey the craftsmanship and wood sourcing is definitely high quality and sound killer, of you want tonal variety the jsm is the best, if you want a straight up metal machine then the Adam D is a ripper
5:20 PARKWAY DRIVE let's goooo. As soon as you said drop B I knew we had to get some PWD. Dead Man's Chest is so hard. Would love to see a full cover of that or Carion! Anyways stay metal \m/ guitar sounds amazing!
A great guitar, I prefer the Joel Stroetzel model, but the Adam D model is a banger too. It took me forever to get my Joel Stroetzel, and I got a floor demo luckily.
I got to play one of these and a few other Caparisons last time I went to Sweetwater, so I knew how fast you'd fall in love with that thing. You aren't wrong, though, the neck profile is a bit different that you might expect for a shredder, but it's oh so comfortable.
I hear ya, man. Save up and get one! I finally popped on a PRS custom 24 (USA Core model) which cost more than twice as much as my next most expensive guitar, and honestly, it just doesn't compare to anything. It's sooooo good. You'll thank yourself for getting your "cut above" guitar.
The thing about all EMGs sounding the same is that almost everyone that plays emg's uses and 81 bridge and plays exclusively on the bridge with the volume and tone at 10 on both. I like the EMG 81 sound, but if you're wanting to sound different, maybe try a different EMG bridge pickup? 81 isn't the only option.
Yeah finally a caparison, great axes. I own 4 caparisons and love all of them and I have put Fishmans in all of them. Altough I find the KSE set pretty different from a modern set, the KSE sound more like an 85 to my ears.
I’ve owned a few from this brand. Amazing guitars. I know it’s odd paying $3500 for a one trick pony but they make some really nice guitars that are not one trick pony’s for the same price and/or less. By the way i still prefer my emg 85’s over the fishman pickups. But I did compare the JSM to the metal machine side by side with the same pickups but different wood and they sounded quite different to me.
Good to know how the KSE pups will sound in drop B, I was thinking of buying the set for Gibson Les Paul, I’ve been dabbling in drop B recently and I kinda dig it. This video is convincing me.
I like some of the fishman stuff. The kse set for me though is a bit meh. They have the least amount of low end of any pick up on the market. Overall though loved the tone you got in the vid. Can't wait for the next one
Dude love your vidjas! But pleeeeaaase when you do specs, scale lenghth is a pretty important thing to mention and does not take long! Anyways respect your attitude you‘re amazing, Only love ❤️

I was just in a predicament between both about what to get next. Feel you cant go wrong with either, mayones have neck throughs across the board, which i love and are customizable. Caparison are production models made by some of the best people in the whole industry and of course you dont have to wait Long to get them. So its basically just wait for 1-1.5 years for a mayones of your own design or just buy a caparison and get a top of the Line instrument in only like 1 month
@@l0rd_breeigo-sama954 caparison certainly appeals to me since I’m such a KsE fan. I need actives too which the signatures have. Although I’m very happy with my Japanese ESPs right now.
