    Believe me, while Craig is a humble guy, he is one of the all-time tough guys in league history. Guys like Craig, Probie, Troy, Joey, Tie, and many others made the league fun. Today, not so much.

    • @saultrockcity
      @saultrockcity 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I miss the enforcers and role players the league use to have, before it became one dimensional now, as all the players play the same style now. They took the character players out of the game, which makes hockey boring now, although the playoffs are worth watching sometimes. Great interviews with Craig Coxe and a very respectful and humble person.

    Craig Coxe had the best and longest fight I've ever seen live in Winnipeg with Jim Kyte. The crowd was going insane because it was so long and they just kept throwing and throwing and throwing. Coxe went down at the end, but it was probably from exhaustion. Both guys were so exhausted that they sat on the ice for a while before getting up and skating to the box.

    This is what people do not understand about enforcers...those who have not played the game. They are good guys, who are damn tough, sticking up for teammates, but after a fight in a game, would be happy to have a beer after. Coxe is a great guy! So is Kocur! Nothing personal! Coxe is actually a great story teller and a great guy. Anyone, would survives a Kocur fight, is tough as hell. Kocur and Mike Tyson, in their prime, were brothers, from other mothers, for real. Both smaller, with stupid KO power! Coxe...great dude!

    Awesome interview, makes the fight clips more interesting. These guys (Domi, Kocur, Probert, etc) made careers for each other and were among the classiest athletes in sports.
    Soon after, you get Brasheir punching a guy after he in unconscious, avoiding refs and linesmen because he is trying to kill the guy.

      letmepointout Domi was a legit douchebag. A jitterbug. But he toned it down some with age.

But the very first game in Sharks history was the preseason game against the Canucks on September 13, 1991. First Shark to score in that game was Jean-François Quintin. Link Gaetz scored in that game, too. And Coxe had a game misconduct penalty in overtime.
