You need to watch the Amy Grant concert from 1983 with Michael and Shane Keister on keys. I believe Dan Huff was playing lead guitar. Wow! Their performance of Michael's Where Do You Hide Your Heart is EPIC! Not to mention their performance of Rich Mullins Sing Your Praise to the Lord. That was a GREAT concert too. I was pretty much introduced to contemporary Christian music with Amy's Age to Age album. It's iconic. Amy and Michael put Christian contemporary music on the map in the 80s. Two pioneers.

You've made a little mistake in your list. Smitty does not sing "Love In The Light" at 18:28. He performs the interlude that comes just before that song, called "First Light". Then at 21:15, he goes straight into "End Of The Book" (from Michael W. Smith 2). Just thought I'd clear that up for you. God bless :)

Wayne Kirkpatrick is Michael greatest co-writer of his music his entire career. Best lyricist. Wayne singing Amy's part - and playing backup/rhythm guitar - on the duet for Restless Heart.

I'm a keyboard player, Michael inspired me in the mid 80's, and I can't tell you how many times I played "air keyboard" to this this concert in my parents basement!

Why did we not know about Wayne? All we ever heard about in Wenham, Massachusetts was Michal Micheal , Micheal. . And he never performed at Gordon College just: Randy Stonhill, Petra, John Fischer, Micheal Card and others. . . .

Does anyone know who the sax player was this concery? He amazed me with his control on every instument he played. I have never heard anyone do flat out ripping licks while having the musical finesse of an oboist. But that whole band was on fire for this.

And I remember being a 16 yr old in Melbourne, Aus at one of his concerts, embarrassingly yelling out "I love you Michael" just before he sang friends and it was so quiet everyone heard and he waved to me! :)
