In Argentina in 1988 the multiplechampion Juan María Traverso did the two last laps of the race with the car taking fire and the cockpit full of smoke. He was in first place and he defended his position during 2 last laps. He won the race! The most epic victory ever. /watch?v=xwqOpYqyMuU
And I was ecstatic when I stumbled on Super Stadium Trucks a few years ago. Man, if these were in the States we'd have a run to the ticket office again!

NASCAR would be well served to watch this. The Cup cars have always put on a better show on road courses. IMO Road America is purpose built for Cup cars. At the opposite end the "Cork Screw" at Laguna would be dynamic. 6 speed trans is coming, need IRS, a sub 5L motor, and sub 3000 lb weight limit. Open it up to more manufactures and road race a lot more.
divan osoba They have fairly tall tyre sidewalls(60 series) . Rock hard springs ( with leaf springs on the back of the Ford's) wouldn't work as well. At the same time, by road car standards, the suspension would be incredibly hard..
THUMBS DOWN 👎 Here's why... FALSE REPRESENTATION! The still image on TH-cam shows a yellow car in flames. But the reality is there is no such footage in the video.
If you're looking for the flames in the thumbnail ... 18:10
You're welcome

Thank you for putting this out on TH-cam. We dont get these types of races in America.
It was really nice to see those old cars battling it out.
That’s more exciting than formula 1 - great to watch should be on the tv worldwide

I love these Australian races. No pit stops leads to very quick races.
No doubt Peter Brock would be racing this class if he was still alive
IM SITTING HERE WITH A BIG GRIN ON MY FACE, MAN I LOVE THIS ! FUCK THAT NASCAR BULLSHIT, BRING THIS BACK TO THE US.
Lovely car's, super vintage.
It's nice to see Leanne Tander out there racing again 😊

Go the mighty falcons
Yes!! Go the mighty falcon
The Pacer gets my vote for a real muscle car, provided it has a 245 Hemi....
why this cars have soft suspension ? on purpose Or some unknown reason?
divan osoba

It only looks soft because of the weight they are throwing around.
Because they aren't supposed to be modern handling race cars.
Full steel frame, iron block, steel body, zero composites, almost no plastics. They weigh about as much as full sized modern pickup trucks.
Reason unkown
Those poor Porsches are in wrong neighborhood
como se llaman estas clasificaciones
