Home Repair Vlog: Our Washing Machine Broke

Instead of "how-to's" I'm going to start calling these videos "Home Repair Vlogs," because my intention isn't so much a step-by-step guide as it is to show what I went through to fix what I have. Today, I took a look at our early-90's Kenmore Series 80 heavy duty top-loading washing machine. One thing about washing machines, they're mostly built very similarly, with minimal changes in overall design over time. Anyway, our washer was leaking and shaking excessively, and I decided to open it up and see what I could do to repair it.
The end result: $0 is parts spent, and both issues are fixed. Woo!
