Hats off to you running this Darren, I know I couldn't. Did I hear at the end you are from Thatcham? Such a small world - I was in the 3 horses you 'picked off at the end' (the yellow t-shirt) and am also from Thatcham, we train up the hills in Bucklebury. We eventually overtook you again and finished faster - horses manage the terrain differently to human runners but it's a close thing. We're doing it again in 2020.
Hi Kirsty, Yes I was mad enough to run this race, but it was great fun. What a small world indeed, yes I’m in Thatcham. I venture up running into Bucklebury quite a bit for my training runs. Yes u caught me up again no problem, that was the theme for most of us runners I think. I ran for Team Whole Earth last year so might see if I can get a place again with them 🤞
@@DazStaley well shout if you see us while you're out and about - Dougal's a dun (creamy coloured) horse with a hogged (shaved) mane, he's fairly distinctive looking. We'll be either trotting briskly up hills or trailing along with a horde of kids on ponies.

Looks a great race. Well done.
