In my school there is a poster titled how to reduce stress and anxiety and step one of two is to avoid things that cause you stress or anxiety step two talks about not procrastinating
In Germany (I don't know if it's Europe wide) companies are required to delete all the information they have on you if you request it, if they keep anything about you they can be sued
You can actually ask google to send you all The information they have on you. And ask them to delete it If you want. They have to, If they want to keep operating in The EU.
But you have to request that in writing reminding them of your rights as an EU citizen. Pressing the delete/deactivate button of your account isn't enough normally. The other thing is, that deleted only means that it has to be anonymous. Your data will still be used for their statistics. It is only not connected to your personal data anymore.
5:23 Ticketmaster is a TERRIBLE site. I almost got seats right behind the mosh pit of a My Chemical Romance concert, and I would've gotten them if it weren't for a bunch of scalpers taking our seats. The site needs to do something about it but they don't
Yeah in most states $13.50 an hour is pretty good. When I started retail six years ago I was paid $8 an hour and my last job was $16.50 per hour but that’s in California and I’m not sure how California (one of the higher paid states) relates to states like New York
yeah I was about to point that out. they changed things so if you want to actually delete your account you have to die and provide your birth or death certificate lol.
Unless it’s an artist that you know will sell out early, never buy concert tickets (or sport tickets) the first day of the first few weeks. Buy closer to the event. Prices are usually adjusted downwards if they aren’t selling out
That "losing the 2 years of warranty from unsubscribing" is CRAZY cause it's straight up illegal here where I live! The LAW states that you have a two year warranty on electronics (exceptions when you break the device yourself ofc.), unsubscribing from a newsletter should NOT undo that article lmao. If it's the same in the US (which I sort of doubt? From what I can see their system is kinda wacky and not very airtight if we look at half the things on that subreddit and the many, many horror stories from low-wage workers) I'm pretty sure you can contact a lawyer and actually sue the company for that.
At least the visitor gets a pool. My mom once fell for a pic of a nice yard with a pool... we ended up in a shady apartment on our vacation without a pool. There wasn't even a yard and the apartment was un top of a noisy restaurant that was opend all night
One time my dad, sister, and I went into a 99 cense and up store.. but the “and up” part was REALLY small so we didn’t see it and went in. The first item my dad picked up was like $48.99 my dad was like “what the heck! What is this?” I don’t get those stores!!
I have one in my area like that except it's called 99 Cents Only Store. Alot of the stuff there is well over 99 cents even though the name would make you think things would only be 99 cents. I don't like that store.
For almost every post on this sub, I'm always thinking "I've never seen that here in Sweden, it must surely be illegal in EU/Sweden". For example, while obviously ink cartridges are expensive here too, and possibly telling you they've run out in advance (why not just fill them with less?) I don't think I've ever seen anything about them terminating the service early over the internet.
THAT THING WITH THE ADS IN THE MIDDLE OF LOFI OR CALMING MUSIC THING I FEEL THAT Like I remember I was just listening to this 10 hour long video of calming game music with rain sounds and everything to help me sleep and it never used to have ads before and I was just used to playing it every night and it really did help and then all of a sudden the video just got ads but I didn’t know until I was listening to it with my earphones in almost asleep, and then all of a sudden the LOUDEST ad just plays and I nearly just fuckin died like I probably cried and I haven’t been able to listen to it again because those fuckin ads are evil I tell you
How to fix your printer from running out of ink, simply change the text Color of the document to randomly blue yellow and pink, then you can use your other colors other than black

the facebook thing is like, they told me once when i asked they keep the account open for literally years before actually deleting it, it took like 10 years for them to completely toss my account, there were times over the years where i could just log back into my deleted account and then delete it again just to see if it was still there
If you "delete" your Facebook account, if you just log in again, it automatically recovers the account. So..... someone _was_ trying to get into that persons account.
I’ve deleted my old Facebook account before and that’s exactly what happened to me. Someone logged in with my old email and password and it was up and running again right where I left off. I hate FB so much.
To the Facebook thing. When you delete your account it isn't actually fully gone, you just log in and it's back. Or atleast that's how it used to be when I was still using it daily.
So fun fact about Oklahoma. Other than the fact that we get tornadoes every year... The minimum wage there is $7.25 an hour. So, like $13.50 would be AMAZING.
More infuriating than the "up to 50% off" sort of signs is the stuff that says, "up to $5 or more", or something of the like. That's definitely a way they try to trick you, because that price range is literally any price ever. Another way they trick people, this one in the names of places: near where I work is a 99 Cents Only store. You know, consignment store where things are sold cheap. However, even back in the day when their name actually seemed to mean something, their items were for 99.99 cents (so a dollar, because otherwise the only way you save is if you buy like 100 items, and then it's only a dollar saved). Now, they can have things for any price. But they justify their name by having all prices end in .99 (though I think it's still actually 99.99 cents at the end). However, the people unaccustomed to the store are likely to be oblivious to that before stepping foot inside.
Printer ink is so expensive because the companies sell the printers too low of a price to make a profit, so they sell printer ink really expensively to cover it.
yeah if the $13.50/hr was in Australia, that'd be illegal, that's if it's for people 21 and over. under 21, and they could probably get away with it if it was $13.50 and over. if up to $13.50/hr was being offered in Australia, you could probably report the business.
The Heaven Sent Daily website needs to be repurposed as a website that just plays non-stop Heaven Sent from Doctor Who. Like Rick Rolling, but with the sultry tones of Peter Capaldi
I think the one with the picture taken to lie about the pool is an ad for people that want to post brag photos. It shows what's possible with that house
In a lot of states in the US minimum wage is about 7.50. The US dollar is worth more than the Australian dollar so it would be the equivalent of getting paid 18.67 Aus dollar for 13.50 US dollar. Also that amount could be significant depending on where you live. State taxes and cost of living can dramatically change how much 13.50 is worth in the US. Like living in Los Angeles you probably won’t even scrape by, but in some small town in Ohio that would be a livable wage.
I don’t care if there is a 40:00 minute ad because I could skip it or I am still getting the music and they would be getting any of the ad money from it
omg the reviews reminded me about how I was buing headphones and I liiked at the reviews and they were all marked as 4 or 5 * (individual reviews, not the avrige) but all of them in the text said "garbage, fell apart, keeps dsconecting, not recommended, buy something else". "garbage" 5* like what?
Per the FB thing: I have an old credit card acct I had paid off and canceled about 20 years ago. I still occasionally get mail from them (happily not bills).
