- Yes, it can get super cold, but that is no reason to skip a trip to Beijing or other Chinese cities during the winter time! There is so much I love about the Beijing winter, the ice skating, the street snacks, the amazing blue skies, not to mention ZERO crowds at tourist attractions. I wanted to share that with you in this video. See you in Beijing next winter!!

No offense, Sweet potatoes might make you fart a lot when u eat too much even if they are benefit of our healt h. I am from CHINA, I am LEARNING in USA now. I MISS THE SWEET POTATOES, BUT I CAN REMEMBER THE smell of fart.

RespectOthers to be honest, the best season in Beijing is definitely autumn... late summer is also good. My recommendation is late September (remember to avoid the first week in Oct which is national public holiday) or early November

liao ning province is northern china , sometimes the air pollution is serious in winter.
I was working in Beijing before, and visited Dalian for a couple of times. I enjoyed both cities.
But winter in Northern China is really long and harsh. I personally prefer the south.
I was in Beijing last January 2019 and I love the place, the weather and the people. I coudn’t get enough of Beijing. I’m definitely going back in another winter! :)

Great video! At the age of 13, I visited the Summer Palace on a winter holiday, which was so tranquil and beautiful. Then I went back to school. In the textbook, I read an essay named "On a visit to Manjing (满井游记)" written by Yuan Hongdao (袁宏道, 1568-1610, Ming Dynasty), describing the scenery of a tourist attraction of Beijing at that time in the early Spring. I suddenly felt that is a precise description of the Summer Palace I had seen.

Amy, what I remember most about Beijing in the winter is the vendors on street corners with Bok Choi piled up like cord wood for sale !

*If you travel to Seoul or Tokyo in December it will be cold but in Southern Asia like Singapore or Malaysia it's not cold but the weather can be cold during the monsoon surge the weather will be like below 24 degrees* 🇰🇷🇯🇵🇸🇬🇲🇾

I’m going to Beijing this December (first two weeks) I was honestly scared everything would be covered in smog and snow sludge from some blogs I read. Your video made me feel less worried about the weather! I’m sure I’ll still be cold since I’m from very warm winter Texas but it looks like it’s worth it!
You should have the caramelized hawthorn, as it's so sour covered by sugar is just perfect.

Usually from November to March (some years you can even see snow in October or in April)

When I first arrived in March 2015 yeah many air pollution but the last time I was in Beijing... umm July 2017 blue skies now.
There’s usually sandstorms in Beijing coming from deserts in Inner Mongolia or further to the North during springtime. At least that was the case a few years ago. So the time in a year actually makes a huge difference.
