    My sharpshooter build is marksman, stability, tactical reload, always prepared, and assassin. The weapons I use are the M99 AMR and the dual 9mm pistols upgraded as much as I can get them. I have to take always prepared to get more ammo for the 9mm pistols because they don’t have much. The 9mms are surprisingly effective when upgraded, they can take out most zeds pretty easily. The hard part is balancing what you need to kill with the pistols versus what you need to kill with the AMR. Personally, I kill everything with the pistols except husks, edars, rioters, scrakes, and pounds.
    I take marksman because the increased movement speed is just to valuable, and being stationary is too dangerous, plus the AMR doesn’t need the extra damage.
    I take stability because crouching is easy and the perk gives you more movement speed crouched so it further helps with the lack of mobility in crouch.
    Tactical reload because rack em up doesn’t really serve the AMR and I’ve never really used it on sharp anyway, I get enough rack em up use when playing gunslinger.
    Always prepared because I never use iron sights and even if I did, 10% bonus damage isn’t as worth it to me when compared with an extra ice grenade, the best grenade in the game, and extra ammo for my weapons, especially the dual 9mm.
    Lastly, assassin simply because I prefer damage over stun.

    (I also posted this in the Beginner's Sharpshooter guide, but am posting here in case it helps someone)
    I just want to say that the Spitfire is a VERY underrated on-perk sidearm and trash killer for the Sharp. The Spitfire and its ammo are SUPER cheap, and it can kill clots, crawlers, and stalkers in one shot with its DoT. You save a lot of money using this as your small-to-medium zed killer. It also upgrades very well (150% damage w/two upgrades), and can be used alongside an M99 with space for two upgrades.
    In addition, the 100 stumble on the Spitfire really helps to prevent Gorefasts and Gorefiends from slicing your face off, and stops Sirens from screaming in your face. The reload speed is already good by default, and even better with either Tactical Reload or crouched with Stability. This allows you to maintain consistent, continuous fire. The wide bullet can also catch smaller/thinner zeds that normal pistol and rifle rounds can often miss (crawlers, stalkers, and sirens).
    The Spitfire is also great against Rioters and good vs. EDARs, as they are weak to fire damage. Although bullet velocity is slow, once you master it, you can still land headshots pretty consistently to help your team trigger zed time.

    Beluga beat is a All Around Best Weopen.. Trash killer and Big Zed Killer w/ low cost... Also ppl underestimate the ability to Keep Fleshpounds at bay with Beluga.. If timed right, you can take down a fleshpound without getting touched. It's such an awesome defensive and offensive weopen. It's insane imo...I can't stress enough

    Does it feel like the FN FAL works better for the Commando than the Sharpshooter because the former has double the recoil reduction than the latter? How do you manage the full auto recoil of this gun in Sharpshooter?
    If you are using a single shot weapon like the Crossbow, Railgun, or M99, does Rack em Up do more dps than Tactical Reload? These guns fire too slow and reload too slow for you to build the Rack em Up stack on their own without switching to a faster weapon. But if you do the latter, do you actually do more dps just by not wasting time building the stacks up with a weak gun and shoot your single shot gun at your target with Tactical Reload?
    Is there any use for the Railgun's lock on mode? Is it better to use this mode to give you headshots if you are having a hard time landing headshots like when a boss is facing away from you or there head is moving wildy when they are attacking a Berserker, or is even landing bodyshots with the normal firing mode more dps? Does the lock on mode allow you to locate cloaked enemies, like the Patriarch?

    • @ReapeeRon
      @ReapeeRon  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Ya, the FAL is better with Commando, I control the recoil usually by crouching and trying to not fire out the whole clip at once.
      I usually go with Tactical Reload with those weapons for the extra dps, but if you want to save ammo then Rack em up can be better as you can use your 9mm for the stacks.
      The only time that I really use the lock on mode for the Railgun is when I play endless and there is a husk wave or something like that. I think that you will still do more damage if you keep it on the normal fire and hit body shots. I do think that you can find cloaked enemies with the lock on mode, the same way you can with the Seeker Six.

    • @gunrunner7721
      @gunrunner7721 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I play Sharpshooter almost exclusively, and FN FAL is much better on Commando than Sharp. The M14 is cheaper, hits better damage thresholds (usually over 100 damage with only one of the 1st two Sharp skills), and is also better optimized to the style of the Sharpshooter. It's counterintuitive to make body shots on a headshot perk, but the 100 damage threshold kills all clots, and body shots are sometimes necessary when you start getting overrun and you just need to kill, quickly.
      If you are using the Crossbow, Railgun, or M99, I recommend Tactical Reload over Rack em Up for consistency in getting higher DPS. Rack em Up is better with the M14, FAL, and M9. These are magazine weapons that don't suffer as much due to slower reload. ReU is also good on the Winchester and Centerfire (especially with Marksman for faster shots), but you will definitely notice the slower reload on these that Tactical Reload helps to mitigate.
      I don't use the Railgun's lock on mode, but it may be good to switch to it when you know a Fleshpound or Scrake is low on head health, and you just need one more moderate-damage shot to finish it off. I don't know if the lock on mode helps locate cloaked enemies.
      I hope this helps :)

      @@gunrunner7721 For big Zeds or bosses, do the Crossbow, Railgun, or M99 with Tactical Reload do more dps on these enemies, or do the M14, FAL, and M9 with Rack em Up do more dps, both assuming you can get consistent headshots and for players who cannot do so?

    • @gunrunner7721
      @gunrunner7721 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ZeroSumGamer I would say the M14, FAL, and Centerfire with Rack em Up do more DPS *IF* you can land consistent headshots, but you'll probably run out of ammo faster. You can mitigate this by "pre-loading" ReU x5 by shooting the first four or five shots with the M9, then switch to another weapon. Personally, my favorite is the crossbow with Sniper, Stability, Tac Reload, Always Prepared, and Assassin. Crossbow is cheap, economic (can recover the bolts), scales well with upgrades, and can stun Scrakes for easy takedowns. Railgun is good, too. I'd only use the M99 in the boss wave.
      If you cannot land headshots consistently, then I'd go with the Beluga Beats, Crossbow, Centerfire, or Railgun. The Beluga Beats is very versatile. Both the Beluga and the M14 are fantastic vs. trash and medium zeds. M14 is decent vs. big zeds with ReU, and will help your team trigger zed time more frequently once you hit level 25. The Beluga Beats can push big zeds away, although I haven't played around with it that much. The Crossbow and Centerfire are forgiving if you miss, as you can follow up quickly with more shots. The railgun has auto-lock if you can't hit your headshots. I'm not a fan of the FAL for Sharpshooter. I don't think it fits well in any category except maybe as a good medium zed killer.
      Essentially, my strategy is to have a good trash killing weapon (Spitfire, Winchester, 1858, M14, Beluga Beats, Mosin stabs) alongside a good big zed killer (Crossbow, Railgun, Centerfire, or M99). I pull out the big zed killer to kill Husks, Quarterpounds, Fleshpounds, and Scrakes, and the trash killer for most else. Using the trash killer helps preserve the limited and expensive ammo that the big zed killing guns use. I'll also pull out the big zed killer if I'm about to get overrun and need a bit more firepower, depending on the weapon. If you have a team with good trash killers, then you may not need the trash killing weapon so much, but it'll still help you save money in the early waves.

      @@gunrunner7721 I disagree about the fall. That thing is the zed time machine. As long as you shoot in bursts and pull your mouse down the recoil is pretty much non existent. It's alo great against charging fleshpounds because if you can control it and hit the head you are almost guaranteed to trigger zed time and stun it. (If you are using the correct lvl 25 skill)

    I just cant get really comfortable with the sharpshooter. im currently playing with the "run and gun" setup and a FAL + a centerfire with two upgrades. im a noob who plays with crosshair and use hip fire like 99% of the time (on all classes. i dont like the iron sights and scopes in kf2) and the laser on the m14 really annoys me.
    imo the the game is missing a mid-tier bolt action sniper like an l96 or an m200 with a mag cap of 6 to 8 bullets that 2-hits scrakes and qps and 3-hits fps (headshots). give that gun an ammo cap of about 60 bullets and make the deagle and the g18c on-perk. that would be my dream sharpshooter build.
    keep up the good work, you are my go-to kf2 youtuber if i wanna learn something new about the game or just get an opinion on something and you have helped me out a lot already!

    • @spinafire
      @spinafire ปีที่แล้ว

      I crouch when playing any perk, so for me it's not so awkward on Sharpshooter but definitely harder when you can't sprint in reverse while shooting max damage. At the very least, I like having that bonus reload speed when crouching because I'm not going to be reloading while running from death anyways, only when I have a moment to breathe. The way I (try) to play, is use the movement bonus to get a bit of room, then crouch shoot, and immediately start sprinting away again. More micromanagement/skill ceiling than other perks but more payout on big zeds/bosses.

  • @Gonzodiac
    @Gonzodiac 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    My personal opinion is that if a player cannot kill big zeds fast when playing this perk, it's not worth picking. If you miss headshot because you're not skillful enough or your team terrorize your aim, don't take it. If you have to invest on protecting yourself (Mosin Nagant, stun build etc.) because your team doesn't protect you or you're just not good enough, choose another perk.
    I play this perk rarely because I miss too many headshot when playing M14 + FAL build. On the other hand oneshot a big zed is boring to my taste, but that's the only way to play SS for me in order to be useful to my team.
    It's a team-oriented perk. You need a good team who protects you and let you do your job as big game hunter. It's the hardest perk to play for me in the entire game if I'm up for M14 + FAL build.

    • @ReapeeRon
      @ReapeeRon  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Maybe, you can still do good with a high upgraded Centerfire and hitting body shots.

    • @Gonzodiac
      @Gonzodiac 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean that I miss too many headshots when crouching and shooting big zeds on the hip. It's lethel, and as SS I should be capable to kill big zeds fast without using freeze grenade all the time. I'm not just good enough for reliable big zed takedowns when using M14.

    For the sharpshooter
    I went with the Mosin Nagant, HMTech-101 Pistol, and any weapon that you can fit (magnum revolver, corruptor carbine, etc that fills up for extra ammo).
    I used everything on the right for my skills so I didn't have to worry about staying in place.
    My Strat on this build was meant for the sake of being a combat sniper that can deal with any situation. The HMT pistol will heal others that the medic can't reach, Mosin can kill any medium zeds fast with ease as much as the carbine and even magnum could. And the Mosin would be able to stab any zed that is in the way with force and you can block with it. The Mosin would be your most deadly gun since it is your sword and shield with your HMT pistol healing anyone that is indeed at a sticky situation and kill small zeds, and the extra weight can be used for more ammo you can use if your out of the mosin or even want extra utility.
    Why do I use it? Well I feel like I am not good at getting head shots but with using the build the Mosin required you do hit head shots to at least get the best efficiency on each bullet for the head shots. And I don't like sitting in one place since the game is too tense to stay in one position without being punished for the pause in movement. And I am not used to the style and being so good at head shot accuracy so yeah.
    It was a nice setup I did use in hard difficulty. So I assume that it would be harder to use this build in the higher difficulties since your health will drop in an instant for being such a glass cannon. I would name my build guess if I wanted to as the "rifleman" since you will use the Mosin, Carbine, or Magnum for your damage on strong zeds and have the HMT pistol of the safety of health.
    But yeah that is my experience on Sharpshooter when I was trying to sort my class and understand what my team may need. It is grand to have a medic and a assault of some kind on your team.
    Sorry if this is too much and that it may not be a great build since it demands someone to have the DLC weapons. Thank you for reading my take on this class, and build I have on it.
