Looking to put a Federal q on a 2012 f350 for a mini rescue truck. Any advice on how to do it I know the Q draws a heck load of amps. The truck just has 1 battery.
First thing is the alternator? What amp is it? Once you determine that I would recommend a second battery hooked to a blue sea isolator. You can wire the Q to be charging the second battery when the Q is off and not connected to the truck at all then the Q is on. That’s how mine is wired.
It’s very complicated how I have it wired. But in the simplest terms, the q is hooked to an aux battery and the connection to the alternator is made when the Q is off.
Lol why this seem like in the future there will be a video on about you driving around with sirens and lights as a volunteer just to go to the firehouse, doesn’t seem like a real emergency just to go there?
Only bummer with the Q on the POV is that you don't get a shriek when you pass cars as you do on a bumper mount.
That is a darn nice siren setup for a POV 😎
We need some more videos! Love watching these
I have 2 on deck waiting for editing
man i love the train horn gotta do it next time
Will do!

I feel like you have been here multiple times before this
Very possible. The fire station and my home seem to be at the same location every time I arrive there.
Can you tell me what do you use for the q2b siren? Like all the tools and button.

What dose it feel like to have cars pull over for you?
Autorack train sitting there
At 1:37 it looks like a firehouse sign. What is that about?
It might be but it’s not the one he’s stationed at.
Update- I checked and it is a fire station however he’s a volunteer in a different county.
@@Trucks_Law-zn5xs you are correct.

It is a real emergency. I am the person who brings the fire truck to the scene
😎👍
