All your art tips are good. And also the way you present is sweet. One thing I noted in this video (not sure in all other videos) is that you keep your hand straightaway on the artwork and do the coloring part. You can suggest to keep a white sheet in between your hand and your artwork to avoid dirt in your hand or sweat in your hand might go into your artwork. Just want to say. Pls don't mind

A4 is decent size but if you want to be comfortable with your drawing I suggest you go for A3
Start with a 160 gsm paper

In my opinion watercolor pencils are softer and blend together easily than normal color pencils but I like both of them..
