Mr Franz, I'm an old bike guy and have been riding for 50 years. That is the most magnificent motorcycle I've ever seen or heard --- you are not just an engineer, you are an artist. If it ever is to be sold, I'm your man! Paul, New Zealand.
Well done Sir! That is probably the most legit sounding V8 I've heard on a engine that small. I mean if one couldn't see it roll up you'd think it was a musclecar engine. Great job!
@ray Morrison i second that ,, it sounds way bigger than it is listen to an old flat head ford cause that's the closest thing i have heard to that sound
You we're shifting on the right hand even bar. How? Srry I'm not mechanically minded. I can't shift on motorcycles because of a left leg problem. My electric shifter I bought is very hard to use. I would love to have a bike like this! Awesome.
@Friend Bubble84 Nope, this article is incorrect and wrong. The Honda engine is a OHC (Over Head Cam) unit, and this engine is a pushrod and rocker arms example. And a very nice one.
Love the sound! I’m a two-stroke fan first and foremost, but the sound of that v8 is beautiful. Hopefully you run race gas in it too, for that perfect smell! Beautiful craftsmanship!
Absolutely awesome! Dennis, my hat is off to you... that engine is a piece of art, and how you mated it to the bike you did makes it a perfect match. My God, that exhaust note, that lope...perfect.
Glad you used a cross-plane crank so that it gives the proper V8 sound. Most bike V8s use a flat-plane crank & don't sound much different to an inline 4.
A beautiful masterpiece! I wish you made engine kits so I could build one. The amount of time you must’ve spent machining and casting has to have been substantial. It’s got a beautiful sound and really has some nice pick up. How many gears does it have and what is its top speed? Wishing you many years of safe and fun riding
Man I had a huge smile on my face while watching this! Just wow! I can't imagine how fun it is to own/ride that thing. The engine is incredible as well. The little lumpy cam is wonderful. Well done. Simply well done.
This v8 is amazing. Sounds better than 99% of the muscle cars on TH-cam. Best part of it is it's a piece of master machining that's actually getting used for once! So many beautiful engines being made to run on plinths, yours actually *does something*. Hats off to you! That thing sounds amazing, runs like a champ. Here's to the engine lasting 20+ years!
Please mass produce it, this bike and your 175cc twin bicycle should be mass produced, they are the only ones that makes the rider get younger and younger, you need to mass produce if you care about humanity.
Wow this is amazing. Great sound. I have an old go kart frame and I wanted to build a 2/3 scale chevy 350 but I dont know where to start or even to begin to look not much help from the internet either. Where would one go to build one of these engines? And what is the estimated price for an engine build?
I have watched this video 10 times your bike is amazing I love seeing talented people produce things that others only dream of the sound the look are all top-notch Master Craftsman
That is the most beautiful sounding bike I ever heard! The whole world needs to see this and what better way for that to happen by mass producing them. I'll take one with a front brake please! I could listen to that 24/7, just fantastic!🤤
the sound alone just brings me a big wide smile, and the looks of the bike just fits perfectly, great work Mr Franz! I hope one day to learn enough from my old neighbors to build something like this!
I just found out about this and you answered one of my first ?'s about drive train ....I'm old but my hat is off to you SIR you still think out of the box......most people don't !!! Very nice piece of art !!! Top to bottom ...start to finish !!!
All I can say is, Dennis your a genius and a true craftsman. The sound of this little V8 is simply music to the ear. Would like to know more about that engine! I've never heard any V8, even today come close to the sound of this little gem of a motor! amazing. Definitely worth a trip over to Jay Leno's garage!!! Bike owner and enthusiast Trevor, Auckland New Zealand.
Thats got to be the best sounding bike v8 I have heard. Great engineering
That little V-8 snarls like an Indy car.
Pleeease take this bike to Jay Leno's garage!!! It needs a proper video on TH-cam explaining everything about this masterpiece
Tell Jay to get out of Burbank and go THERE!!!! ;)
Take the V-twin too!
That would be a fantastic idea..and I know Jay would love it too!
Yes please

The exhaust note is music to a mechanic's ears.
It sounds gorgeous for such a small V8, just like a bigger one.
@@catey62 sounds exactly like a flathead Ford
Well done Sir! That is probably the most legit sounding V8 I've heard on a engine that small. I mean if one couldn't see it roll up you'd think it was a musclecar engine. Great job!
Totally right.
This bike really deserves an award! This little v8 sounds amazing :)
Finally somebody that knows how to build a V8 and make it sound like one
@ray Morrison i second that ,, it sounds way bigger than it is
listen to an old flat head ford cause that's the closest thing i have heard to that sound
I am using an old kck start BMW transmission and clutch
You we're shifting on the right hand even bar. How? Srry I'm not mechanically minded. I can't shift on motorcycles because of a left leg problem. My electric shifter I bought is very hard to use. I would love to have a bike like this! Awesome.
What kind of engine?
BMW trans, that familiar sound when shifting gears. I worked on them many years ago
@Friend Bubble84 Nope, this article is incorrect and wrong. The Honda engine is a OHC (Over Head Cam) unit, and this engine is a pushrod and rocker arms example. And a very nice one.
Is it dual spark plugs per cylinder
Wow, that sounds awesome!
Every single thing I have done in my life now means nothing! You sir have raised the bar so incredibly high it's not funny! Fantastic job!!!
Stunning just out of words, it sounds just right! What a masterpiece!
Out of the thousands of TH-cam motorcycle channels I've watched this is the best bike I've seen
Love the sound! I’m a two-stroke fan first and foremost, but the sound of that v8 is beautiful. Hopefully you run race gas in it too, for that perfect smell!
Beautiful craftsmanship!
the 2 stroke v8 rudouzen is a scary sounding v8 aswell 💀
Wow that sounds fantastic. Thought for a moment that i an American car heard ride, but it was a 392cc motorcycle with a V8 engine.
beautiful sound.
Absolutely awesome! Dennis, my hat is off to you... that engine is a piece of art, and how you mated it to the bike you did makes it a perfect match. My God, that exhaust note, that lope...perfect.
That thing sounds beautiful! Great work sir!

I agree

That's just amazing. It has a great throaty sound and it runs like silk. Great work!!!!
I'm not a motorcycle guy.
But I want one EXACTLY like this one!! Beautiful build.
Freak Beautiful a two wheeled masterpiece….!!!
❤️🔥🔥🔥❤️
Sounds like a 5.0 mustang truly amazing sir
Was this engine custom built? This is amazing craftsmanship!
you are a genius sir...my full respect and more

Agreed!
Everybody wants one, I want one too! Write a book with the plans and instructions so we can all enjoy and celebrate your genius!
*Amazing sound!* 😳
Sweetest sounding bike I've ever seen/heard. Great job.
Absolutely magnificent.. and that sound.. wow!
"Yeah I got a 392"
"Challenger?"
"Motorcycle"
Sound reminds me of a hopped-up Ford V-8 60 horse flathead
When you rev it up, it sounds like a cammed Corvette, very cool indeed!
Fantastic engineering! Beautiful sound! Different then the Guzzi V8, be just as many goosebumps.
She is a beauty, well done.
The look on that ol tiimer with the poopeatin grin, says you will never be as badass as me!
This is a beautiful engineering masterpiece. You should collaborate with Allen Millyard.
Just plain brilliant! Amazing engineering.
Love that exhaust note!
Did you see that grin? "Yea buddy I MADE that" is what he was thinking
This is absolutely brilliant unsurpassed
Truly a beautiful little machine, and a sweet sounding one too.Awesome work.
This would be perfect for the ultralight I'm designing.
Nothing short of incredible... You sir are an artist...
I'd bet if he could build a run of 10 of these and asked $100k for each, he'd probably find buyers. That sounds fantastic.
What a fantastic bike well done that man.
That is awesome, looks and sounds great , artist, plain and simple
What an amazing little bike, well done mate, you should be so proud of yourself.
Wow this is amazing. Great sound. Best sounding bike I eva heard!
Sounds so sweet nothing better than v8
Wow close your eyes and you would think it was a big block V8......great engineering!!!!!!
Great truck sound
Vaya, qué hermosa motito.
This bike sounds exactly the same as a Holden 253 C.I. V8 with a mild cam.
Wow! It sounds like a 1967 Dodge Charger. It sounds like most of cross plane crank American V8s.
What type tyranny did you use? Bike is fantastic by the way 👍

BMW
Nice!!
Im guessing 8x 49cc engines linked.
It would be my biggest wet dream to see this type of engine in a chopper frame.
sounds incredible.
I have watched this video 10 times your bike is amazing I love seeing talented people produce things that others only dream of the sound the look are all top-notch Master Craftsman
Where's the front brake?
Fantastic sound!

Men the sound 😍
How many horsepower make this v8 engine
Awesome sounding and looking bike. Even if the performance isn't sensational you'd still have a grin from ear to ear.
Very nice, much respect, I wish there were a bunch of build video's.
Awesome build! It sounds amazing! Are there any more videos of it! I'm sure everyone would love to see them.
Where did you find that frame? Is it from a different motorcycle, or did you make it yourself?
would like to see some machine pics, of the engine build.
Absolutely wonderful. That engine is pure music.
Beautiful 😍
This has gotta be the coolest thing on TH-cam!!! I'd LOVE a motorcycle like that!!!
Imagine pedestrians jumping aside thinking it's a mustang coming from behind. Found this searching Small v8, I'm quite amused 👍🏼
That sound is pure magic... Well done
Awesome!!
Beautiful sound

very cool!
Looks lie a bicycle. sounds like NASCAR!
I love it, girder front end, skinny tires & the tank is a work of art. Wish it was chain driven, the driveshaft kills it for me.
Elegant engineering using a BMW shaft drive....

Good, but not like the 5.0 .
