Aerosmith’s Last Song of Last Performance before Retirement “Walk This Way” | September 9, 2023

  • UPDATE 8/2/24:
This is the last recording of a public Aerosmith Performance. “Walk this Way” was the final song played during Aerosmith’s Farewell Tour 9/9/23 UBS Arena (Elmont, NY). Followed by Joe Perry birthday tribute.
From Aerosmith’s announcement on 8/2/24: “We’ve always wanted to blow your mind when performing. As you know, Steven’s voice is an instrument like no other. He has spent months tirelessly working on getting his voice to where it was before his injury. We’ve seen him struggling despite having the best medical team by his side. Sadly, it is clear, that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible. We have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision - as a band of brothers - to retire from the touring stage.“
    UPDATE 9/13/23:
Steven Tyler announced on Monday that he is heartbroken to announce the need to postpone the six subsequent concerts following vocal chord damage he sustained during this concert.
One thing apparent from the show is that Steven Styler and Joe Perry put on an incredible performance. The energy that emanated from them was unbelievable. You can see it in this video. Look at the close up sequence around minute 1:07 and you can see how much energy Steven Tyler evoked. It was a pleasure to watch this performance and it is incredibly sad that he injured himself as a result.

Saw the kickoff PO tour Sept. 2 2023 @ Philadelphia Wells Fargo center. I cant even explain how good they were. Tyler sounded exceptional. He was playful and in a good mood. He was pissed at the sound guy lol. Little did I know I saw one of their last performances. It was on my birthday too. Long live Aerosmith in our hearts and memories. No one can even come close to them.

I saw Aerosmith when they were "old geezer's" coming out of retirement in 1984. Little did I know this band was just getting started and would remain viable for another 40 years.Amazing. Thanks for the ride boys! Your music is evergreen!!!

This hits hard. In the mid 70's I got my first "stereo" system from Radio Shack and after I set it up I turned the FM dial to KMET Los Angeles and the first two songs I heard were Bad Co "Can't get Enough" and Aerosmith "Sweet Emotion". Blew me away and I've never forgotten that moment.

I was born in '96, but had a HUGE Aerosmith phase. It deeply saddens me to know I'll never get to see Aerosmith, Ozzy, or Phil Collins perform live.. Some of the biggest legends in rock. Period. What an incredible and timeless band
