Best graphics-because it’s a frostbite engine same people who did BF3 Best music- because it’s Brian Tyler...same guy who composed Iron Man. Best sounds and cars-cause they actually gave a crap what they sounded like. Not like today where it sounds like a fucking blow dryer and the cars look like plastic. This game was ahead of its time in 2011.
I mean I don't hate NFS The Run but the sounds honestly they were pretty quiet and not that impressive (only few cars like the Shelby GT500/RTR Mustang and the Audi R8) and kinda I didn't like them at the same time. And there quiet wrong sounds. Like the Porsche 918 RSR literatelly sounds like F6 when this car is supposed to have a 3.4L V8 Hybrid. The McLaren F1 sounds like V8 instead of the glorious V12 like in NFS HP 2010 and some more car that sound very weird. I won't mention every car that uses the wrong sound. I hated how the sound processing made the sound "distorted" and installing 60 fps with V-Sync Off made the sounds even more broken. Also compared to NFS Pro Street/Undercover's turbo and supercharger sounds there were way better while here you barely hear them (and the supercharger sounds like transmission whine). Graphics were great for 2011 but still NFS 2015 has better graphics. If you compare the interior designs with NFS MW 2005 you'll see how much blurry are there compared to NFS MW 2005. Also every car for some reason had hexagonal steering wheel and barely any detail to the interior but I guess since Black Box were rushed they did like like this: "Fuck it, no one will notice this". But at least it is better than NFS UG2's interior that literatelly had NOTHING (except the shade of the seats). Even though this game wasn't supposed to have cockpit view it would have been better if it had more detail into it. If you look into NFS 2015/Heat's interior you'll see how well detailed are there (one of the best detailed interiors). If this game gets more higher resolution details it will look better.
This was honestly for me, the last good game in the Need for Speed series. Everything else afterwards was kinda junk. Blackbox did an amazing job with this game and the graphics still look good all these years later.
@@coza76 The NFS movie seems to resemble more of Hot Pursuit than The Run, and honestly I find more compelling stories in my own Seacrest county drive than that movie.
@@danielgeronimo5538 That was a great game, I enjoyed playing that one. The movie showed content I would say from both games in that sense, cop chases, roadblocks etc. Same here, theres more storyline in their games rather than the movie. One of the main reason I mentioned to movie to the run was that you start off at one end of the US and drive all the way to other side. Also in the middle of the movie, the part where they want to pick up their friend that knows about suspension tuning, thats where the cop chases begin. That part reminded me from the scene in the run , where you lose your car half way through the game and start running from the cops and get a new car. The race at the end of the movie I would agree with you about it resembling Hot pursuit :)
The game is memorable for having the record of the most hated NFS ever thanks to stupid children who didnt appreciate it during its launch. Now Black Box is dead too.
I bought run on last year to play it, as I played in my old laptop years ago. Still like run. That fluidity, that physics, that awesomeness, comes to mind even when I play latest games.
Start a stage of The Run, finish the first race, DO NOT HIT "CONTINUE THE RUN", select replay/restart race instead, and when the race starts up, quit to the main menu. Then from there, go to a challenge series event that has Tier 5 or Tier 6 cars, select the car you want to drive and start the event. Once the event starts, quit out and go back to story mode and hit Continue. You'll start in your swapped car. If you want to drive a different Tier 5/6 car, repeat this process.

Man, this is series is the best in my opinion.
This was honestly for me, the last good game in the Need for Speed series. Everything else afterwards was kinda junk. Blackbox did an amazing job with this game and the graphics still look good all these years later.
Damn that was on another level keep it up !
Man I used to love this game, best nfs game played.
Man I fucking loved The Run criminally underrated
Perfect RUN 💯

Imagine if someone made a movie with this storyline, that would be awesome.
They did, and it was a terrible movie, great cars but the story and ending was lame. It was the NFS movie
@@coza76 or in Russia, Need For Speed: Need For Speed
Thanks for this video. This game is very close to my heart and, to learn something new about it always good.
Oh... was it a hidden achievement? I unlocked it the first time I did that race
How? How do you have a car fast enough for it.
@@andrewrogers3067 Yeah, it was 3 or 4 years ago, I think it was a bit of luck and skill
i call bs
@Xclarity 8C competizione NFS edition
Same car I used for that run and it’s true it works.
I think this is the most memorable moment for NFS in 2010
The game is memorable for having the record of the most hated NFS ever thanks to stupid children who didnt appreciate it during its launch. Now Black Box is dead too.
i used to press my thumb realy hard in these missions..trying to get the perfect time ////i loved the run..it was unique
Awesome video I lost it when you blew thru the speed limit sign thanks for the share
I bought run on last year to play it, as I played in my old laptop years ago. Still like run. That fluidity, that physics, that awesomeness, comes to mind even when I play latest games.
6:09 I nearly missed this. What?
How do you do the glitch?
Start a stage of The Run, finish the first race, DO NOT HIT "CONTINUE THE RUN", select replay/restart race instead, and when the race starts up, quit to the main menu. Then from there, go to a challenge series event that has Tier 5 or Tier 6 cars, select the car you want to drive and start the event. Once the event starts, quit out and go back to story mode and hit Continue. You'll start in your swapped car. If you want to drive a different Tier 5/6 car, repeat this process.
@@professorslim2492 thanks.
Works on PS3?
@@jakryan1497 Yes
Kinda shows how much EA squeezes out BlackBox, such a talented studio
5:35 I did not play the game, but the big rock falls on the left side of the road, may be you should try to avoid the big rock being on the right at the moment the rock falls on the left
Going under it is how you get the message. At least that's what I assume
Going to right side will not trigger the achievement, only when succesfully drive under the big rock
It's about "suicidal" achievement, not about completing the event.
I've Never Played This Game But You Make Me Wanna Buy All The Need for Speed Games & Beat Everything 🔥
6:38 LMAO i did that with a russian flag corvette
@super ultimate gamer no.

That NFS game is a car racing game that is so amazing and underrated. It's stressful and it's energic. I like it so much ! I'm glad to have it since 2013.
I'll miss the old intro...
Best third person racing camera on any racing game
Your girl friend:babe I'm home alone and there's avalance near here

Love the new intro
In real life your car would be totaled on the first rock
In real life this car would stop existing after first corner.
@@NFG-Nero it's a gumpert vri
In real life the car cant even start because the temperature was too cold
In real life there would be no traction going through those turns at speed
@Nathaniel Lam referring to the immense grip it's supposed to have
2023 here, 4 months after Nijigasaki High School Idol Club NEXT SKY SEASON 3 OVA, NFS THE RUN still has an incredible graphics and gameplay despite the overall game ended up being too short.
Damn watching this made me regret uninstalling it
Fun fact: that helicopter at the end was In undercover/ world too (its recycled Eagl Assets)
No surprise if Black Box reused stuff from their previous NFS games. They didn't have time to finish their last NFS games.
Someone:fortnite is so intense and anxiety inducing
Me who played this level:hold my beer
To be fair, I think all throughly designed games have an element of challenge to them. Its part of the fun.
This is freekan awesome #urenotsuckatdriving🙌👌. I thought I was watching a movie with all the rocks flying down from the mountains mate. I can't wait to play this game.
You haven`t played this game that came in 2011?
HeroManNickBG Gaming oh I see! I didn't even know that I was ever going to play PS4 at all because the last one I ever played was, PS1 when my kids were young which twenty something years ago.
@@needforspeedrivalpoponutfl837 This game is made for PS3 unfortunately if you want to run the game.
Cool vid
Do have some car racing vids too if you wanna see
Quick question
Why isn't there "ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED" FLASHING
Because it wasn’t recorded on Xbox 360?
If you thought this race was an actual rush, this makes it a thousand times better.
Maybe with the Ford GT you can make it since it reaches 200mph
Well, at least more than 215 MPH just to achieve this.
The SLS AMG has the same NOS top speed as the Ford GT.
I’ve been playing underground 1 and 2 and they are my fav nfs. But when I got this game to Xmas in 2011 or something I finished the game in one week. It was actually a really good game.
it is made from the same developers a.k.a. Black Box plus NFS The Run was their last game. R.I.P. Black Box 2002 - 2013.
@@HeroManNick132 ah really. That really explains xd
I loved this game when it came out, I was stunned and on the edge of my seat in the avalanche race thing.
dat outro, just perfection!
Like how you played DriveClub music at the end 🎯
Wow!! I'm amazed by the graphics.
This is the video i forgot to watch everytime its in the recommended,i was busy watching ranton and some kimetsu clips

The run was an epic game with loads of great details and a great story line ..
