I think the way to Play dialga is more as a Tank, you only give Energy to it if you couldn't get other Basic in your starting hand
Seems like it is more of a substitute for Druddigon and Your energy won't be wasted at least

What if dialga was paired with tauros tho. You kill pikachu
Imagine Dialga paired with Pidgeot EX. It would speed it up Pidgeot decks exponentially. Tauros is about to absolutely dog walk this meta though.
It would be the same speed, you have to commit 2 energy to dialga in order to earn 2 energy.
Dialga is weak against Pikachu, Blaine, Mewtwo, Starmie and Alakazam. Celebi and Gyarados decks are a toss up.
