the new studio would be amazing for you. Maybe bring back the Katnipp Cafe. Yes photograph studio, content and designing as well. I think it would be absolutely worth it also being close to all that machinery when you are trying to concentrate is hard not to mention the noise.

I agree. I think it would do so much to remove barriers to action that I'm sure cause you to procrastinate on tasks like the product photos. If you could have your space set up permanently, thinks will go so much easier.
I completely agree on disliking the fast paced content. It gets dizzying! TH-cam slow vlogs are the best. ✨

If you do sign up for Faire, could I suggest giving the option for no packaging on stickers and sticker sheets? I have a small gift shop and the way we display our stickers and sticker sheets, it's better when they come unpackaged and without backing cards. I always appreciate when vendors give the option for packaging or no packaging on items like those :) Excited to be able to order wholesale from you at some point!! ❤

What about a stamp for the back of the notebook and notepads? It would be so much faster and less waste than the stickers on each one! Plus more cost efficient! You could get a custom one made in the flower shape with your logo inside and do pink ink!

As someone who not only has an art business and works at my desk all the time, but also games, the larger mouse mat is perfect. The smaller size is one of the reasons I hadn't ordered a mouse mat, but I have been wanting one!!! Would love to see a gaming range or something as well

A new studio would be so helpful! I can imagine it must feel so much better to not have all the noise. Honestly I often have to close oit of your videos because I am too sensitive to alot of background noise. But in the end, do what makes you happy! 🥰
I understand the need for quiet space…I think the new space would be a great investment. Maybe not hear Eggbert so much! I think if you got on Faire, it would be great for your business!
Also one day drive home I saw a car with a stuffed buble bee on the dashboard. I’m like, “ Is that BubbleButt!?!”. I think it was.
For skill share, I’d like to know how you edit videos and settings for computers/iphone,etc. I think you have a pinkish hue set up because the Coke Cherry came out really purple on my tv (could be my settings though).
Oooh, exciting if you take the extra space......plenty of room for your creative hub, photography area and maybe even a product display?
You could then invite local-ish shops round for tea and buns and a browse to drum up more whole-sale trade😊

Lots of people especially artists are leaving Instagram in droves because of the new TOS, that essentially gives Meta full access to your work to use in their AI. Though there is an "opt out" option, most people are being told they can't opt out.

I have one of your normal ‘large’ mouse mats but because my keyboard is so chunky I miss all the detail, I would definitely snap up a large one!!!!

Hi Katherine- I'm a fan of your content and an artist in NYC. I signed up for Faire and put a ton of work into getting my products on their site. Then, I realized they show products so HUGE on their site that it completely leaves artists vulnerable to copyright infringement. I decided to shut my shop down. (You might say, well only wholesale purchasers can see it but unfortunately, anyone can have a Faire buyer account- no credentials are necessary.)
I thought you might want to consider that before moving forward. You're the best!

I think it would be a great idea to have the second office a good place for everyone to just chill out to get away from the noise a bit bring back the couch and stuff you had in that big studio could have meetings in there besides all the creative stuff :3

The new room seems a little smaller than current one and will be perfect to separate office and work space , that way you will have and space for more growth . If you move all desks ( leave the packing tables and computers with them where they are ) over you will have room to put more shelves for storage for all the products .
the title is crazy but as soon as you said about the noise I completely understand what you mean, it must be so much harder to film now ❤

Hi Cathrine! ^.^ I love the idea with the BIG mouse mat, but I noticed that Bumblebutt doesn't have black stripes? he seems washed out? It's probably a style choice, I was just noticing it and I think I personally would like it more if he had black strips. Just a thought ^.^

I do believe that the second studio is the right way forward for Katnipp. The larger cutting machines are taking up space!
I think that having a quieter space set up to allow for your creativity to bloom (drawing, editing, creating social media and TH-cam content with minimal interference/distrations/noise is good for you!
Bonus good thing is that if Dean or Mike need a quiet moment, they can just pop over and sit with a cuppa to relax. It'll save a lot of time wasted on setup/take down from each photo or video snippet you take too so overall a great opportunity!

Great news on selling your scraps - I definitely will want some. Maybe you can offer two bundle types: Rough Cut and Square Cut - I often need odd shapes so I would be happy to receive pieces that are just roughly cropped, rather than having them being cropped and squared up.
I would love to see a skill share class on illustrating with Procreate or illustrator - I would sign up for that, definitely. 👍🙂

In honestly The back ground noise is like white noise it adds character and shows how running a small buiness can be and things you have to deal with. But I get that you want some you area so you can concentate fully Buttttt Will the lighting work?? Also Stickers are stunning Sending big hugs to all the team

I have the Sakura mat and I love its current size, fits my desk perfect. So I personally would stick with the smaller one, but the bigger size might allow for those with bigger desk spaces, or to maybe craft or work ontop of. I can't wait for the blue hydranga one it looks beautiful.
Hi!! So I am a marketing and social media manager and I’ve been taking several recent workshops on social media and I have a tip for you and why you may not be seeing as much engagement….
At the end of April, instagram has changed their algorithm patterns. Posting daily is actually hurting your account because there is so much flooding in, it just pushes it lower and lower in the “feeds” if that makes sense…they actually suggest posting only 3-4 times a week and to make it more “quality” posts such as one that’s a carousel post of photos, one reel, and one post of engagement so something that’ll get the users to save the post or engage in the comments (think asking a question or a fun poll etc)
Also only MAX sharing 3 stories a day, if not just 1 (this one blew my mind lol)
Try that the next few weeks and see how it works. 👍 I have other possible solutions if that still doesn’t help 😊

When you upload your classes, will they be searchable under Katnipp, or your name? Also, a new studio would be great. Having more space to move around would really help the creative flow for your videos and photography.

Love your new baby cards, really cute. Have you thought of doing any for graduations, both boy and girl? The 2nd studio will be brilliant for you, and great for doing your filming content; plus you could have your Katnipp cafe back again. Another plus is that you will have more space for more stock in your current studio. The gaming mousemats are great. I would use one in my sewing room. Congrats on your skillshare class. The larger mousemat looks great! :D I've noticed something here and on your personal channel as well.. maybe it's just me, but I find that the music is a bit louder in the segments where you're not talking >.< I find myself having to lower the volume, especially when it's a jazzy piece or there's piano. Please ignore this if the volume is already at the same level throughout the video and if other people find it ok 😅
YES a larger mouse mat! ive been wanting to order a mouse mat but i have a large gaming keyboard and set up and thought the smaller (current) mousemats might be a little small for my space, I would 100% order a larger one if you offered it! maybe ever 2 or 3 to swap out every few months ^>^
Hi Catherine, just an idea but have you thought of having long sleeved tee-shirts as well as the short sleeved. I am a three-quarter sleeve person and would love to purchase the tee shirts if they had the longer sleeve option. I have been with you for a number of years and have watched the studios grow and grow. 🌸I love watching your journey.💯 I will be purchasing hydrangea gaming mats. I have 3 different mats now and will be purchasing them as Chrissy presents 🎄for my granddaughters. 👩🦰
Are you just adding the variation to the already there product? Because I do that with my designs that come in different colors and I didn't download, it was part of the product page... :)

The larger blue hydrangea one would look perfect in my office! I have a bigger gaming style keyboard so the smaller size isn't a good a fit for me.
I’ve followed since your second vlog - I went freelance at the same time and it’s been wonderful to follow your journey and watch your progress and the decisions you’ve made. It encouraged me to go for an office 2 years ago which was the best decision I could have made - I pivoted from graphic design and products into web design but I still watch weekly and I think a creative space where you can breathe away from the chaos will serve you well. 😊
