Ich hab euch gestern in Bochum sehen und hören dürfen. Ich bin immer noch sehr begeistert von eurer Energie und Musikgewalt. Ich mag auch, dass die Sängerin den guten Wahnsinn mitbringt. Macht Spaß zuzuschauen und drüber zu lachen :D Ich hatte sehr viel Spaß. Musik war super, Stimmung war super. Toller Vibe. Auch toll, dass Querflöte und ein verrücktes wunderbares Theremin gespielt wurden! Insgesamt wunderbare Musik mit sehr guten Musikern :) Es war mir eine Freude! Den Wandersmann fand ich besonders erfrischend und abgefahren. Danke.

bodhi heeren we are not into retro rock. 😊😊😊 retro rock is an artifical term made up by the music industry to sell some records. It does not describe what this music is about. All these bands have been influenced by the 60s and 70s, but then again: whivh kind of rock music isnt?!

All terms are artificial but still they have their use. I am old enough to have been there when this kind of music first was made so I enjoy these bands for - as I said - keeping the flame alive and ofc I can only hope for them they can progress and keep building on the fundament laid down then. Feeling slightly provoked by your 'attitude' I could raise the question if any of these bands come up with anything new and unheard? But perhaps I better not go into that.... ;-)

Psychocoko Well miss coko is the term 'bands with female leadsingers' less 'sexist'? I mean, human kind has not developed into unisex yet, so - wether we like it or not - we are two genders with different characteristics amongst them a difference in voices and vocals :-) And by the way I am quite sure that male and female voices/vocals have different impacts on us.....(but anyway this is the modern internet world, I think I make a positive and friendly comment and yet someone apparently can get offended ;-) )

What a stunning concert from start to finish these guys are all so super talented they should be huge fantastic vocals from Francis and she can play a mean flute too.But that drummer goes nuts and those guitars are so pure Total fire 🔥

I saw them last night at the Freak Valley Xmas Fest in Siegen. Fantastic performance - by far the highlight of the evening. Great energetic stage presence and top-notch music. +Psychocoko, you rock mightily!

I enjoyed that, I think I'll be checking them out a bit more in the future. Reminds me of many early 70s "second division" bands. That's not a put-down, there were loads of decent bands like this who just weren't quite as special as the great ones. I wish them well.
Great band, found them on Bandcamp. Just love the 70's hard rock sound. Have to say that the Jethro Tull and Janis Joplin comments are just lazy, they sound like neither. Hopefully they'll be over to the UK soon.

Getting some Janis Joplin bluesy/funky vibes with some flute thrown in.
Definitely not the 70's hipnotic Krautrock style. Needs some Hammond, but then again i tend to feel Hammond should be always present!

rtlisboa87 yeah people always come up with the krautrock thing. We sure have been influenced by that style of music, but then again: what is krautrock?! Kraftwerk, gomorrha and missus beastly are all considered krautrock but they all sound differenr!
+Psychocoko Yup, but in truth Krautrock is a 1 band genre, Amon Duul II, hah.
Positive note, now ppl associate every German Rock to being "Krautrock", decades back they would call you nazi rock --- decades from now you'll be called the last rock of the free world -- so, we're ever evolving. Just kidding.

Lots of people are fed up with the ugly, overproduced sound of today's rock bands (not saying these bands are bad, but there i something fake to their sound)

Diemotherdiefather Yeah, this is Phil. our current drummer. he has been in the band for a year now. the first drummer didn't want to be with the band anymore and Leo has always had his own band. that was a temporary thing.

Those guys are just awesome, heavy & different from other bands. Flute like jethro tull!!!! Great vocals, and excellent lead guitar, bass and drums!!!! They just need a second rhythm guitarist instead of the girl playing! She is a decent guitarist but she has to concentrate on her vocals and the flute which is fantastic!

xdrfetishx well, i didnt mean to attack you either haha. I just always wonder how these comparisons come about. There are so many bands with flute out there, but people always come up with either jethro tull or blood ceremony. Both brilliant bands, but i personally think we sound much different. 😊

Well I think that's one of the most interesting things about music, that some people make connections that other people might have never thought of. And while I also don't think that you sound like Jethro Tull, your flute playing has very Ian Anderson feel to it, and while there are certainly other great musicians that also play in that kinda way he was probably one of the most famous. So I can see where the connection to Jethro Tull comes from. Also just out of curiosity who would you say were your biggest influences?
Antares 8001 true, but of them are just too obvious to be true. the Jethro tull comparison comes out of the ignorance of any other flute Rock bands. most people just don't know any other flute player. some people assume I had to be influenced by Ian Anderson. That's like as if I said every guitar player had to be influenced by matthias jabs. They're both just one of many good musicians on their instruments.
in fact, when it comes to my flute playing there were no influences in the first place. if you listen closely (especially the first ep) you will recognize that I play the flute very riffy. almost like a guitar. which flute player does that?! I can't think of one
but there are some flute players I started liking the more I got into improving myself: Dietrich Markgraf, hansi Fischer, the singer of golden earring and focus... and all the nameless flute players that laid down the lines to my favourite funk and psychedelic songs.

Saw them in Munich last night and found them pretentious and, frankly a bit ridiculous. Started with the arch on the guitar, then the flute and even the Theremin? How retro can you go before getting into Spinal Tap territory?

De la vocalisation à chaque chaque chaque phrase pour chercher la bonne hauteur de note pour commencer à chanter. 50ans que le moindre apprenti(e) chanteur auto intronisé nous gratifie de sa "personnalité", mes oreilles en ont marre de saigner.
De l'énergie pour compenser de criardes faiblesses techniques en chant.
De la guitare qui manque de poil sur les bras et d'idées sous les doigts (et 40dB de gain pour être pris au sérieux).
Ca aurait pu matcher, mais perso je trouve tout cela trop ...cheap, en fait.
