Hope you’ve solved the problem. Could it be that you have trimmed your waste materials with a razor or other sharp blade? That would score the plastic tube, which could lead it to break quite quickly,as I understand. It is tempting to use a razor blade to trim really close, making it easier to fit the cone, but it’s a bad idea. If not, it’s a mystery ..
