- The swell is beginning to come in for the season, just in time for a small group of some of the first adventurous surf tourists to visit Tabuaeran! Chuck found his old piece of property and I continue to explore more of Fanning Island, a true tropical paradise.
My cousin and his wife stayed on Fanning for many years! It looks beautiful!

Johnny Cruise It’s the next closest stop from the Hawaiian Islands! Great anchorages in the lagoon, just beware of the strong currents from the outflow of the lagoon.

Coconuts are more than fruit they are amazing vessels of biological material that has such hardiness it can survive long trips at sea to disperse its seeds . Imagine a seed that in order to reproduce must survive ocean currents salinity and wildlife predation to survive long enough to reproduce . Coconut palm is one of the worlds hardiest plants
