I have never been so happy to sub to a youtube channel. I dont really watch Mateos food videos (sue me) But any video with Nick was watched IMMEDIATELY!! His general attitude and vibe is one I find utterly charming. These are very entertaining and im excited for more

Living in a building with a doorman was weird AF for me. They were all really nice and I liked them but it still felt so weird coming and going and feeling like this random person knew your business and was keeping tabs on you. It kind of freaked me out. When I was apartment hunting another place I lived in was one of those white glove buildings with an elevator man and the elevators had buttons so he was just like pressing the button for you. It wasn't like the old fashioned manual elevators where that would be needed. That was too much for me. The building was great but I was like "I can't have all these extra people in my life. This is too much."
Nick is entertainingly bad at so many things, but if you give him the correct answer, he can usually confirm! I'm sure he is excellent with real estate, but can you imagine him standing outside the entryway, and saying, "This is 3 bedroom, 2 bath. Go look!" 🤣 💚

When my ex partner moved in with me after two days I thought if they didn't move I would go crazy. So I put them out after seven days ( hoping things would improve it didn't). They couldn't tidy up behind themselves or do anything basically. They had fetish for piling up used tea bags in a pyramid on the counter top and never put them in the bin. One good thing about them when they moved out they left their cat.

most people who've lived in amsterdam have at least one rental horror story, my landlord was a tour guide, then there was some kind of coup in indnonesia and he appeared and started sleeping in the living room between tours, then he had a health scare, got a job locally and put a double bed in the lounge and moved his thai boyfriend in and kicked me out, was totally illegal as it happened but i wasn't too up on dutch housing law, another guy was housesitting and the tenants landlord showed up demanding $1500 immediately, which he paid for him, not sure if he ever got it back, debt collection letters arrived daily at this place
