Hey Dazs, excellent video! I'm glad you made a note about the abuse of repeated knocks -- do you have insight on whether or not reviving XP bonuses can be abused by having someone weak hanging at edge of ring and getting continuously knocked and picked back up again?

how are the points for the squad wipe given? say if two teams are fighting and 2 people die, a third comes and finishes, does the third party get the squad wipe?
If i swap shield cores after a sqaud wipe will that shield core be empty if my teammate tries to pick it up? or will it still give them shields?
How many points do you get for clearing PVE areas e,g, Spiders/Prowlers?
Should upload a new video on mouse tension, I’m good with both tension and not but there’s disadvantages to both I’m trying to just combine both with a amount of slight pressure that works for me
Is there a setting where you can preselect your perks, and unless you toggle it off, it automatically selects those preselected ones. I love this system but I think it'd be annoying to go through the selection every single game. Especially with Loba, I know I will 99% of the time, select the 3rd slot and bracelet range.

I like the potential of a lot of these changes, but man the amount of evo required to level up is way too goddamn much and the lack of reward for using crafters is terrible. When crafters were introduced they were seen as one of the most brilliant things added to the game. If you wanted to solve the healing in storm problem, I’d rather they just remove heat shields or something of that nature. This next season how are you supposed to play zone and also level up armor? Like maybe you guys get to blue and get the best spot in zone, but now it’s one of the final circles and you are facing red armor teams with better perks while you are 3000 off red. Like lol rip playing zone.
Can you just nade each other and revive over and over again to gain evo or is that not worth it compared to just doing the "world" stuff?
I don't think loot table is gonna be cleaner since all craftable things from crafter are back in floor loot. 4 types of shield(white, blue, purple, gold) will be removed from floor loot, but those are replaced with 6 items from crafter and 2 items for shield EVOlution. (If those do spawn as floor loot..) Even if those are not included, it is 4 armors removed vs 6 crafter items added back. 4 -> 8 If both EVO cannisters are floor loot.
Am I wrong about this?
If you're in a fight and your opponent levels up mid fight, am I right in assuming they will immediately begin to fill up their armor (similar to a conduit tac), but this will immediately stop once they receive damage?
So theoretically you can get shields back mid-fight without a battery, if you avoid taking damage after the upgrade
I have seen many S20 videos, but none is answering this obvious question... I would also like to know if the "LVL UP extra segment shield regeneration" can be stopped by dealing damge..

I’m really happy we keep our own armor! It sucked having a precious purple or gold piece and potentially losing it for a shield swap
I love being rewarded for revives, however, I wonder if the revive points will lead to people killing themselves with ordances to get their first evo for their team if they're isolated or to get some quick points if they're close to the next upgrade. Though, the momentum of utilizing all the environmental bonuses does give pretty quick points.
it's almost guaranteed that if you self-knock (including your teammates knocking you) the revive won't give you EVO
There's also environmental hazards that'll knock players, but even then it probably wouldn't even be a big deal if it did reward self knocks. Intentionally downing yourself would be an easy way to hand your ass on a plate to any nearby enemy squad.
@@Ricardo50493Getting knocked by the environment probably won't offer any points on revive.
However, intentionally letting a sniper squad knock you might actually be smart.
@@outerspaceisalie That's still a bad idea. The best case scenario is that you reset your health fast enough so you guys dont just lose immediately to a push or to an ordnance ultimate. Even then though, that's a lot of resources just for 1 squad mate to get shield points.
I don't see this being a problem. The revive points you get aren't enough to level up without having to self knock a teammate 5-7 times. And we all know the more time you get knocked the faster you bleed out. So if you can "cheat" the system by doing this you will bleed out in 5 seconds the first time your knocked by a real enemy team so its not a great idea.
Might be sleep deprivation but i noticed once you lvl up shield, the new shield bar gets filled automatically? Is that correct? Or no

This is amazing. Highly aggressive players and teams like myself and my friends are finally getting rewarded. Imagine in a ranked game you choose to fight 2 teams off drop and you get to blue armor and are only 400ish points off purple. Now that the fight is over you go hit the beacons and Evo harvesters and now your team has purple while every other team in the lobby still has blue or white. You'll be able to push every single team knowing you have a shield advantage. If done quick enough I could see really good ranked 3 stacks get to red armor when everyone else is still on blue and they will just control the entire lobby. This is a great change. It'll separate the men from the boys.
I'm really not feeling these changes. I feel like if I don't drop hot (which I'm not a fan of), by the time I find people to fight (on say Storm Point), I'm going to be fighting squads with purple while I'm still on white. Also, as a Valk main, there's nothing I can open or scan to get points, and not being a high damage fragger, that sucks.
It’s the opposite. This change massively disincentivizes fighting.

Skirmishers are by definition the best "fighters", have best movement. So if you're playing valk and a skirmisher, get fighting and leave the beacons for the other legends with no movement abilities

Lmao shit hilarious maybe if you have an actual full team but playing pubs w random your an idiot who think they can 1v3 all the time aka my teammates that go down w 13 damage and leave the game as fast as you can
Is the 301 doing more damage? Because I’ve seen 13 but from distance. So is the damage up to 14 now?
I posted about the changes, its clear something changed just now unsure what. I posted raw footage in the range. I thought a point of damage was adjusted?
@@Dazs I believe it’s headshot multiplier + damage ( same damage 13) doesn’t decrease at distance
Can you have the augments automated? Can you change which augment you have midway through the game?

This in particular is one of my favorite changes. Less RNG is always a good thing for a battle royale especially one as competitive as this.
But then they neutered the crafters, putting more RNG back into the game (can't craft that scope or helmet, etc...). So I don't think we ended up gaining anything in the end.
On the other hand, more RNG can be good for new or bad players as at least once in a while they have a fighting chance, without that they might just uninstall.

White to blue - 600 points
Blue to purple - 1300 points
Purple to red - 1900 points

I really dont like the temp shields that decay. id hope it would be temp until broken but for 30 seconds is aribetrary.
So.. If you get EVO points by reviving ... will we be seeing edge players nonstop ring knocking and reviving to red armor?
This would be a terrible idea. You bleed out faster every time you get knocked. To do that enough to get red you would have to be knocked probably around 20 times to get full red. And then when you finally get in a fight and are knocked by a real enemy you will bleed out in 5 seconds and you'll have no chance of getting revived when it really matters.
@@s-p-a-c-e-man5909 But revives are team wide, so you can rotate all 3 people and also I believe while you are right that you get faster and faster blleding after consecutive knocks, I think it is true only for knocks short time after each other. Sou you could probably get knocked 5x and wait for a few minutes to do it again.

Came back to this game from a few years out. Why the hell have they made such a simple game such a head fuck.
Question.. can you not just farm points by repeat knocking a team with a lifeline?
Why wouldn't they make this more of a game mode and see how the actual community feels ab this like any other br would this a big change they forcing on people if people like it more they'll play it instead of normal apex

You can set a launch option to bump it to 300 (from 144 IIRC): +fps_max unlimited

Bro what are you talking about killing one guy get you 150 points of damage + 100 for the knock that’s 250 for one guy another guy would be 500 with a squad wipe youll get blue and even further not to mention your teammate if he’s down from the fight you can rez him and 150 more

This is a stupid idea. You bleed of faster and faster every time you get knocked. To do that until you have red you'd probably have to do it 15-20 times it seems. Meaning when you actually get in a fight and get knocked you'll bleed out so fast your teammates can't revive you when it matters.

lets focus on the cheaters until the integrity of the game isnt questionable.....then maybe worry armor patch notes.
Been posting about that, Chronus zen bans, config lock downs from people using as cheats, and also news on a harder stance on cheating in season 20. Looking forward to the launch and hopping its a step in the right direction. Respawn also posted tweets and blogs on it which covered! :)

@@zMadaraUchihaif they do it’s on pc controller. Microsoft made moves for all games last November and Sony just made moves to ban them. The only device that has not on console is Titan 2 which is more of a problem in nba 2k.
750 a level is laughably absurd. No amount of pro players saying it's great is going to change the fact that every one of these changes screws casuals over.
A long time ago i saw an AceU vid where he says "get one squad wipe early, wait for end game, free rp" and I've used that advice as a general guide. Now? Good Luck fighting with your almost blue shields.
As a Lifeline main, I'm nerfed even more. Everyone purp perk is perma, I'm single use. Seems like everyone and their mom is getting healing and damage mix builds, except ole AJ. Even Wraith is getting the OG status, AJ, here is one self revive. Everyone will team fire a Lifeline. She wont even get to use the revive most times.
Still no game for solo q. This is going to be painful for Solos.
For the average plat-masters player, solo queue was already a miserable experience. This is just the final nail in the coffin.
These changes make it so that it requires SO MUCH teamwork just to get a blue armor, let alone purple or red.
When I’m in diamond and I get queued with a random duo, who are casual players in silver and gold and one’s on Xbox and neither of them speak English… what are my chances of getting them to do all the things we have to do to level our armors? 0% chance, these players don’t even know character abilities, they just load up the game to get a few fights then get off to go eat dinner…
