Yep...there's a reason me and my buddies now refer to the Leeds as "Asshole Fish Supreme." Thing was we got an Alpha first time...
I remember me and the bois on Ark packed up all our tames on a raft to travel to the red woods, we had a lot of Iron n stuff on the raft also. As we were traveling, we suddenly got attacked my the Leed, as we called it, when I fell off the raft and was in the water, I couldn’t believe how big that thing was. I believe it was Alpha too. All our tames were stranded, while all our iron sank to the depths of the ocean. And one by one we took our tames onto land and travel on foot through the swamps, being attacked by raptors and falling asleep due to Boas.
When Crystal Isles was new i found a glitched 150 basilosaurus on the shore, near a lagoon, i was able to solo tame it because it was unable to swim away from its shallow prison. I got it to over 200 on tame, rode that thing all over killing every leedsicthys out of spite, that was fun.

There are many complications in the ocean right now to hold others large species or at least close to the surface. I just find out that there is noise contamination causing trouble in the ocean. This makes hard for wales & dolphins to navigate through the ocean.
@@paleoph6168 and they thought liopleurodon were a *lot* bigger than they turned out to be (they just have really big heads). still one of my fave marine reptiles though.

I've known of these leviathans since watching chased by sea monsters as a kid and I don't know why, but since then, the idea of swimming with a giant filter feeding bony fish is infinitely more unsettling to me than swimming with an equally sized whale. I can't put my finger on exactly why that is though.
When you see it slowly come into view from bellow coming at you a top speed , the slow realisation then suddenly slams the raft and panic takes over, followed by "just keep sailing, just keep sailing" Trying to stay ahead of it, you stop you, your swimming and become far game for anything else lurking the depths
This channel is really good, and I like that someone is exploring a new niche of mostly aquatic animals in paleo youtube because marine animals are underappreciated in their specifics.

When I first got Ark, I was just battling the usual beginner threats- megapiranhas, dilos, and the occasional raptor or sarco. Cut to me sailing on a raft to a nearby island and getting absolutely jumpscared and absolutely destroyed by a giant Leedsichtys. That was the day I set all incoming attack damage to 0 and dropped the game for a few months. Terrible, and just insane it even lived.
Leed is basically big chungkus of the Jurassic,and as always this is some beautiful animation and I love the narration. Cause you awesome,and like nature.
The issue with this video is using old information the most recent study indicates that on average it was around 12-14 meters long with a max around 16-17 meters long, but the problem with these measurements is we have no living relatives of the extinct fish and have really only partial fossils since the majority of all fish are comprised of cartilage. So if you take into the actual length of the most recent 2019 study compared to the 2013 study which it indicated that it could reach anywhere from 17-23 meters so about 55-75 feet you could take the synopsis and still put it at second.

Interestingly enough ghost leviathans are indeed filter feeders due to their large size, they are just extremely territorial to a extreme degree.
