- Anish Giri took on Abhimanyu Puranik in the 8th round of the Qatar Masters 2023. What happened in this game was simply epic! First Abhimanyu sacrificed his queen! Nobody cares at that high level to bitch about "touch move", honestly the most stupid chess rule ever. Everyone knows he is just adjusting the piece. That's normal.

@@aldrincanares8077in big tournament slight touch is not considered much value... touching the piece with all your fingers is considered...players have mutual respect and understanding for such scenarios
Anish said something along the lines of j'adoube or adjust prior to touching the knight.

@1:39 Anish "illegally" touched his knight on f6 and didn't move it. This is not a blitz game, therefore he should have been forced to move it. I supposed these two like each other so Abhimanyu didn't make a claim, but that was unfair in my opinion. Am I wrong ?
