    would love to see a vans boot breakdown - specifically the og high standards vs. the pros. I've owned both & I'm honestly not sure there's much of a difference, but would love to learn with the help of power tools

    That partially explains why my 5 years old with 150ish days K2 Maysis stinks so bad after a week at Timberline in summer. I think some water also got inside the boots. Thank you for an excellent boot video!

    Coming up 190**days on my ride insanos.
    I reckon they're good for another 50 easy.
    Yes, I've done some
    Minor repairs and taken care of them.

    I wish ride did a better job with the way the tongue is attached to the boots. Seams aren't enough on the insano. The tongue is so stiff that when you push into it it creates leverage on the seams. 30 days later seams are torn into shred and the boot is done. My old (2018) isnano did 150 days before it happened. 3 pairs under warranty last year. Too bad the fit is amazing. Good job on the video 👍

    Its crazy how much goes into making a pair of snowboard boots. Ride Fuses have been my favorite, but they get soaked on warmer days. The water seems to be coming in through the heel area of the boot. Might give the K2 Evasion a go.

      @paulwb3434 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've heard that about Insanos too. I have the Lick the Cat Ride Fuses, so a little bit older, and have never had leaking. Been wanting to get newer ones just because the toecap is more structured now and doesn't get pinched like on mine.

      @@AngrySnowboarder In the spring we get some soggy lift lines in so-cal, but even on average days my liners are still really wet. The tops of my socks are dry which makes me think its a issue with the sole. There is a cut-out just under the heel, and I think water is coming in there when snow packs into the void. Other boots that share the same sole had the same complaint (Lasso and 92). All boots get wet to some degree on slushy days, but I noticed it a lot more with the Fuses.

    Good stuff! I've gone through three pairs of Insanos and each one I've broken the stitches that connect the tongue to the toe box of the shell. Now I drill a couple of holes and put some flat backed leather screws in them. No more tongue sliding forward into the toe box.

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think that's the urethane in the tongue cracking that's doing that.

    Have you ever tried Ride's The 92? I wonder if it's just me or the "floating tongue" (basically tongue can move around quite a bit to adjust to your feet) does crush your feet when you push a bit harder? Does anyone else get this problem?
