    This is awesome! As someone who's never been there, it's kinda hard to believe that such a place actually exists. Great video!

    The first time I went to Disney World you would buy ticket booklets to ride. People tended to ride only what they wanted since they were paying per ride. The lines were relatively short, seldom more than 5 to 10 minutes. No one is going to look at a line that is an hour or more long and say... hey I will pay for that line. So it was a real magical experience. You spent a lot of time enjoying what you paid for, very little time standing in line under a blazing hot sun and humidity. Today you pay through the nose to get into the park, everyone wants to ride everything because they've paid so much for their ticket, and they spend all day in line, under the heat and humidity. I can only imagine how disappointment it must be for first timers that expect what I experienced on my first visit there but today they get overpriced admission, over priced parking, over priced food, crowds, long lines, heat and humidity.

    Could only imagine what EPCOT Would have actually been with the way Walt Disney actually imagined it. Love the video! Some very good tips in there! Also one important thing to note about Walt Disney World is it’s distance from the Orlando International Airport and International Drive as many I’ve spoken to in the past have thought Disney world is near I Drive like Universal and SeaWorld is. If your staying offsite then definitely spend that bit extra on a hire car as it will make your journeys so much easier and more convient.

We are planning to stay for 4 nights and are likely to use the parks for 2/3 days. Where would you recommend we get our tickets/what tickets do you think we should get? Thank you for the great video it was really informative

      I would go for the ‘1 park per day’ ticket. You can choose how many days you want on the website. You might also want to check somewhere like undercovertourist.com to see if they’re doing them cheaper.
      To save as much money as possible, I’d recommend the Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista hotel.

    • @TheFrugalBrit

      Apologies for the late reply, but basically you pay for your tickets which will apply to any park, then for each day of your visit you need to reserve a park. You can only reserve one park per day, but if you purchase the park hopper add on, you travel to another park after 14:00.

      @@TheFrugalBrit We all have to wear masks and shields. It's definitely harder to be heard with all that. You kind of have to shout a little. But there's no fastpass, which is very nice. When they get to the end of Pan, they've only waited 15-30 minutes instead of 1-2 hours. So people are not nearly as pissed off. It's definitely hard to get people to follow the six feet apart rule though. Most of the time they do it, but sometimes there's that family that will continue staying on top of people like we never closed. And, of course, most people wear their masks, but sometimes there's a family that just won't keep it on when you ask them.

    This is really the WORST of what Florida has to offer. I really hope you didn't waste too much time in this crowded, sweltering, mosquito infested, exploitive tourist trap! It's like $15 for a simple soda, and you have to sneak in liquor and pour it into a flask in your hotel room for walking around and stuff, and steathily pour it into your hyper expensive soda. Food is OUTRAGEOUS in the resort, and a decent meal costs as much as you would spend on a weeks worth of groceries. Second, I don't know why you would go there as a grown man unless you have children. And even then, you children would have to be kind of dumb and infantile to enjoy themselves there. I remember going there as a kid, and was underwhelmed. Epcot was really the only somewhat OK part of it. On subsequent trips to florida, we skipped it entirely. There's much better low key and relaxed places to visit in Florida. One time we visited Ocean World, which was a knock off of sea world, but better because they don't beat the animals and stuff. Sea World got pissed and had fake animal rights activist shill sue to shut it down because they were threatened by it. Anyway, florida has sea fishing (cheap charters), all different types of beaches (from family oriented to places to pick up chicks), fantastic nature preserves where you can see rare birds and alligators, jetski and parasailing, motorcycle tours, cool museums, airshows, good barbecue and world class sea food, friendly girls, the list goes on and on. Don't get conned into attending miserable, sweltering crowded hellholes like Walt Sleazy World!

    From where should I buy a ticket?

    • @TheFrugalBrit
      @TheFrugalBrit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      for US, I'd recommend Undercover tourist or dreams unlimited travel. For the UK, I'd recommend floridatix or attractiontickets.

    Hello sorry what's the best 3rd party sites for both Universal and Disney Park tickets ?

    • @TheFrugalBrit
      @TheFrugalBrit  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I know some people had bad experiences with 3rd party ticket sellers during the pandemic so I’m not recommending this for the time being. I’d buy directly from Disney during these times.

    Great vid ! Staying off-site I'll have 30 days to book fast pass.... Will there still be passes available for the most popular rides at the 30 day mark or probably not? (going early Oct) Thanks

    • @TheFrugalBrit
      @TheFrugalBrit  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You should be good for most of the good stuff except for maybe flight of passage and Slinky dog dash. October is a great time to go 👍

      Jessica B Give yourself the Best chance at getting the hard to get passes by figuring out what time of day in your time zone is the same as 7am Eastern US Time (if you’re in the UK, it would be 12 noon, whereas in California, where I live, it’s 4am-yikes!) because that’s when the Fastpasses will become available, and, Yes, LOTS of folks will be online and snatching up the best available Fastpasses at the exact SECOND they become available ( I may have sacrificed some sleep by waking up at 4 am for three days straight but I managed to snag Slinky Dog Dash, Rock and Roller Coaster, AND even Flight of Passage, and for New Years Eve, no less!)

    Hiya we are travelling as a family of 5 next year for the first time. We will have an 18, 16 and 13 year old with us. We will hope to be there for 18 days. What parks would you recommend for us to visit ?

    • @TheFrugalBrit
      @TheFrugalBrit  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it really depends on how long you are staying for, and whether you’re doing just Disney or other parks too. For that age group I would prioritise Hollywood Studios, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay, Magic Kingdom and Universal Studios. But of course you can’t miss Magic Kingdom. SeaWorld is great too. Too many good parks in Orlando!

    I wonder how many children have been sexually abused at WDW? We may never know. All we can do is not ever give them any more money. Unless sex with children is okay with you, and that's sad. just saying.
