Hey T90, for a next tournament, you should have players choose the civ of the opponent (both blindly, just knowing the map). Will be interesting to see how they will handle this and will allow to see some of the less played civs as well!
I think I'll just never understand how top players like Viper can sometimes refuse to adapt, and do things like keep making unupgraded organ guns against paladins. Making 6-8 barracks and spamming some halbs with his feitoria eco would really be a huge help.

Nah, their greatest normal strength is they build much faster than the equivalent number of vills and production buildings. Building 1 or 2 with fast imp makes the fast imp economy looks on par with a long castle age of booming. I have no idea why Viper went for 5...it's not even normal for him as far as I remember. Having only organ guns and bombard cannons leaves such an obvious weakness, I can't fathom why he chose a fifth feitoria over a company of halberdiers. Even having pikes would have probably swung the paladin battle to Viper. While he would have to regain most of his force, his cannons would be in the middle of Yo's base, and Yo would have thrown away.. idk, 6,000 food and gold each for that attack.
@@NightKnight347 Exactly this; feitorias are a 'cheap' pseudo boom stop gap. You shouldn't make 5 obviously. Even 3 might be too much. You should also maintain a relatively reasonable villager count even with 1 TC because as long as there resources on the map 1 feitoria is very subpar when it comes to resource gathering Vs average 20 villagers (even if you include raiding idle time inefficiencies building walking etc). But the worse is that he had no halbs or monks Vs the obvious Teuton paladins Edit: General note that with 200 pop cap there are many strategies that are far more fragile/inefficient/too expensive whereas with even like 250 they become far more tenable. Feitorias are one of them. You guys should try playing Budapest with 300 pop and enjoy full castle age pushes with actual solid economy or fast imperial gunpowder. Really puts into perspective the difference of population efficiency ( which is largely a meme barring being completely countered tactically or just severely outstatted) Vs actual resource efficiency
Happened to watch the classic "GoldRush Madness" game between the two, and now this. Both games have some similarities - one player had the lead the whole game, and then the switch (Paladins / Champions) - really entertaining games.
Tbh: Viper should have known that Yo had Paladins in his base. I mean he was full organ guns and he didn't see any unit of Yo besides the few monks he made. But he knew that Yo knew that he had mass organ guns. So it is logical for Yo to make military and not just a brainless eco boom or whatever viper thought he would do. And on the teuton side paladins are the only thing that really counters this mass of organ guns. So yeah, should have made some halbs :/

Quick question I have a computer intel i5, 16gb of ram, 1TB SSD, and keeps having blue screen of death.... I can’t ply definitive edition, I don’t my laptop has a problem as all other software runs perfectly. BSOD is always related to memory issue. AoE seems to have a memory leak issue... anyone having the problem?
blue screens are not always a memory issue. could be software incompatibilities, driver issues, the psu being wonky, heat problems... windows keeps logs of the blue screen in the event manager. check for the error code and google it. also memory leaks don't bluescreen your pc usually, so i dunno how you concluded that.
This game is ugly to watch, tower rushes, walls with houses, forward barracks, stables etc... Unnecessary game play and it does not look like proper RTS.. hope age 4 plays like a real RTS without these glishes

What's the point of the no wall mod when they can just build house walls? Just seems like extra steps for me
House walls are expensive and cant really be rewalled early to mid game, so makes first two ages way more aggressive, and by imp, there is good siege.
