Vice is so underrated. Glad it is finally getting it's due.
Not to mention the 5 dozen package deal. Makes it palatable when you pump balls into hazards. But when I find a prov in there I’m $2.50 to the positive. Ha ha ha.
Actually just purchased myself some vice balls and I'm very excited to try it. Keep hearing they're basically Titleist balls but usually go slightly further and feel very good off the club
I found a pro plus on the course and played a few holes with it. Goes far with the long clubs and gets plenty of bite on the greens. Plays like Tour B XS in my opinion at half the price......
Vice Pro Plus is all I play now for all the reasons stated in this review, and it just adds the confidence and cool factor…290 with my sim2 max 3w at sea level was the nail in the coffin for me
I use Callaway chrome soft and have been very happy with it,I love the buttery feel with the driver,the csx feels to firm for me,and btw I use the truvis black and yellow soccer ball color scheme watching it spin when chipping is so cool
Good choice. I switched to the Vice Tour this year and was pleasantly surprised how much better it felt right from the start, actually never expected to notice such a difference. And yes they are seriously good and making it feel different/special using their balls.
Damn right, Pete, that's a hole in one! I once also got one when I tried to hit a ball into the Grand Canyon.

Been using the Vice pro plus for several months and I love it. The feel, consistency and I always buy 5 dozen at a time. There’s something to be said for having a stash of balls sitting at home and never having to buy a sleeve at the course!
I don’t even get excited anymore for finding a pro v1 in the weeds. I throw it in the bag sure, but I still reach for the Vice first every time.
I used all my found pro v1s during Fall evening golf when you simply can lose a ball in the rough cause it's dark by hole 7. Nothing but Vice going forward.
I've used Vice as well, they're great! I need to try their latest still, but I loved the last gen versions already. Also as a person that plays green, I think they have the best shade of green available from any company (that lime is just so easy to find and it looks great! :)
Green AVX looks fantastic in my opinion as well.

Tigers’ ball is so set up for his swing and the feel he likes that it’s not optimal for many players. Peters’ tempo is so different than Tigers’ that he might not get the results he’s looking for out of it and he already knows that.
The Tiger ball was on clearance at my local golf store for $25 off when I was there today. Would have bought some to try but I don’t swing like Tiger so it would be pointless.
@@mulvihillmatt It’s for a 105 mph or plus swing. So yeah Peter definitely has that swing! Fred Couples also plays a Bridgestone ball for slower speeds the RXS!!! And they also have a Tour X And Tour RX!
The ball I'm rocking... The most premium one I can buy in sports direct for around 12-15 quid a dozen. Currently got srixon AD333 on the go and 2 boxes of Wilson ultra to use too 😂😂
I use the vice pro plus I’m glad you actually tested them. They are a great ball especially when you buy in bulk
Thanks Pete. I played the Chrome Soft for years until I had three balls crack on me during my Club Championship! Brand new box and I only swing 95-100mph. I gave been playing TP5X ever since and am very happy with their feel, distance and workability.
I switched to Vice earlier this year. Love them! Glad to see you showing the same love.
Hell ya! I play the regular Vice Pro’s and I LOVE THEM. Especially the bulk price. Ends up costing like half the price of ProV’s (per box).
Also, say what you will, but I like all the different fun colour varieties and such golf doesn’t always have to be soooo traditional.

Same here. Every year Vice has a buy 5 dozen get one free. Less than half the price of most premium grade golf balls. Love the drip series green and black.
Gotta admit; I love the Vice ball and especially since you can get them down to about $26 a dozen when you go the bulk route. They let you split the colors as well when you buy in bulk as well. I usually grab 5 boxes (I play at least twice a week) and usually get two of the green, since they are so easy to see this time of years with low-light and all the leaves and mud.
Played Pro-v1 for years tried the Vice one round and that’s all I needed to switch! The game and wallet have improved dramatically! Glad you saw it the way I did in the results.
I’ve been playing the Vice pro plus for a few years now. I love this ball! I usually order 5 dozen at a time which works out to about $30/dozen, including taxes and delivery to CA. Compared to $42-$47/dozen for any other premium ball in the market and its hard to justify using any other ball. Great review. Keep up the good work!

I play with the "normal" Chrome Soft and it suits my playing-style. Not the longest hitter at hcp12, but I find that I can control my lengths better with the CS than I can with V1 and the bridgestone
I've been using the Maxfli Softfli (Red) for the last 6 months. I like the feel off the face. But, I've been seriously considering switch to the TP5 because of the pix. I like the idea of being able to focus on a smaller target area no matter where it lands. Smaller target makes for a more consistent strike in my opinion.

Been using the Vice Pro Plus Lime for a little over a year now. Easy to find, reasonable cost, and I just feel more confident with it around the green. I also switch the the Vice Pro in cooler weather. Great vid!
I'm a callaway chrome soft x guy i fell in love with it the first time i tested it i use it every season and now I'm going to use triple track chrome soft x and I'm excited to use it agin this season

I've been playing the Vice pro lime exclusively for 3 years, and I love them. I buy 5 boxes at a time, which brings cost to around $26 a box. Can't beat that.
thats a LOT of purchased balls Curt. Are you losing that many?
If you don’t lose them it must take years to go thru that many unless you reload a new ball and discard the old one frequently.
I shoot in the 80’s but I find way more premium balls than I lose so I rarely need to buy balls.
@@kimmorrison9169 I also buy the Vice in bulk, and yes, I do lose a lot. I'm pretty wild off the tee, and the courses I play aren't all that forgiving. Deep rough, water, trees and undergrowth. Even so, they really don't degrade over a year or so, so there's no harm in having enough for several seasons.

@@kimmorrison9169 Vice balls are not durable, surprised Peter didn't mention that in his video, to be fair it sounded like a Vice sponsored video. But yeah, if you're a decent player, those Vice balls are destroyed after 2 holes

I've been using Vice pro for the las year and I'm very impressed, however with them becoming more popular the price is starting to creep up, as expected I suppose!

Tend to go for the Callaway Super Soft, has a bit more feel around the green than the Chrome. Might get a Skin of the Vice just to try it out.
I did the same thing this year....built the bag. Putter Odyssey Triple Track Ten, Cleveland Zipcore wedges, Taylormade Sims AW-5 and 2iron(still learning), Callaway Big Bertha 21 4 hybrid, 3 wood, and driver... and last but not least golf ball.... Vice Pro. Its neon green. Love them. I wish I had your swing speed.
I wanted to try a softer ball. Grew up on Titleist. Found the Chrome soft, and really worked on my overall game, and knocked 10 strokes off my score in one year. It was especially better off the tee.
What category is that.... It's the most important category of all.... It was like Lloyd Grossman was in the room! No Srixon Z star xv in the test?

Love the Vice Pro in lime green. Great feel around the green, pitching and putting. Just found the cover not as durable as with other balls. And you can't miss em on the fairway with that lime green cover. But now that Pro V's come in yellow I've switched to putting them in my bag.
Did this exact same comparison this summer on the golf course but also tested the Tiger Bridgestone and Snell MTX ball. The Vice Pro Plus was better than expected. Glad to see a good golfer thinks so too! I do think the durability issues were with prior gens of the ball, which is a relief since I bought 5 dozen.
For me its the Taylormade Pix , I love it .

I was playing the Pro Plus for a while but recently switched to the Snell MTB-X. Similar price point but longer and straighter for my swing. Keep up the good work Pete. 👍🏻
Have you tried the Snell mtb black to compare ? I would assume the softer feel of the Black would be better but I haven't had a chance to play this brand.
@@rogerbird9420 they have a trial pack with 2 sleeves of each MTB ball. I prefer a little firmer ball but didn't see much difference between the X and Black around the green. Both are good balls in my opinion and you can't beat the price when you in bulk.
I'm in Canada so those Vice balls are quite expensive with shipping so I'll be looking into that Snell pack, thanks for the information

I’ve used Pro V1x and TP5x for the past couple years. On a whim I tried the Vice Pro Plus about a month ago. I was shocked to say the least! I absolutely love them and have not looked back since.
Been playing Snell balls for a few years and I love them. You should give them a try.
I wish we could get them here in US. It cost more to have them shipped than the balls cost 😞

I just started playing the TP5/TP5X. I found one and played it for a couple of holes and WOW. Went out and bought a couple of dozen (they are the practice version) Love em. Love the feel. Love the look. Love the distance.
I agree I was MTB-x for the past year, went to 2020 Vice Pro Plus starting in May and I am getting the same performance but I really enjoy the softer feel of the ball. It's now my go to along side Bridgestone Tour B XS. Good choice!
If you were comparing the softer, more spin versions of each companies balls, you should have used the the standard Chrome Soft versus the Chrome Soft X. I play the TP5x but have been testing the 2020 Chrome Soft X and finding an improved ball speed but not ready to switch yet.
Budget golfer here. I rock the Kirkland Signature at the moment.

One thing that I think might have also influenced some of the performances of the balls is keeping consistency between the brands. The chrome soft X is closer to a Pro V1X, Vice pro plus, etc. I did enjoy watching these balls go head to head and seeing the data! I personally have never really went from premium balls until recently and found that the chrome soft was my favorite among the ones I tried.
Finally a great video ball comparison that included the Vice balls. I'm playing them for over 5 years now, tried the TP5 recently and came back to the Vice ball. Price/Quality is in my opinion unbeatable. It is after all German engineering, designed and engineered in München. The color you were rocking, Peter, was lime (not yellow, not green). They do exist in a Flamingo red, but they seem very hard to find in the grass. I play white in the summer and lime in the winter. And to put the cherry on top, I went on to become Matchplay club champion this year with a Vice Pro Plus ball. So, I'll not be changing any time soon. Welcome to your Vice :-)

The Taylormade Tour response is a ball I have been using for a while now it feels really soft gives loads of back spin and it looks premium 👌👌
Love this ball! Gives me extra distance over my previous Supersoft, premium feel and looks. Love putting and chipping with the Tour Response.
I use the Snell MTB X. Longest off the tee for me, and I love the feel. Find this to be the most complete ball at it's current price point in the USA.
I have played the Vice and been very happy with them, especially the neon lime!

I bought a few dozen used balls at the beginning of June online, and while waiting on the shipment bought a dozen Vice pro plus. Immediately bought five dozen more Vice after one round, and was almost making excuses to lose the used balls (no excuses needed, though) in order to strictly play Vice going forward.

I've played the vice pro plus myself for about a year now and will continue to for the foreseeable future. Prior to that I played the TPC pics and honestly love both ball's but can't beat the price at vice and I love the colors offered...
I've used the vice pro plus this year, price point is great but it's the feel that does it for me, other plus's I love the ball alignment line and the GREEN ( it's not yellow!!) is great on my course during the winter months we have a lot of silver leaves (yep even on the fairway) and it's so easy to spot, I'd move back to white in the summer

Just got back into golf after a two decade layoff. I started back up and purchased balls from Vice and really enjoy them. Not quite good enough for the Pro Plus yet, but I'm slowly getting there. Great video as usual Sir.
Currently gaming the Chrome Soft with the Triple Track. Definitely agree on the crappy alignment line on the Callaway ball, but I also use the TT 2-ball putter. Managed to cut my average putts per round down by 5 this season. Nice hole-out with the Vice, bud.
there is a mistake in the table at the end. 4 points in pitching go to TP5, not 2 - so it is 12 points total =)

4:30.. is the reason I would never buy expensive balls. I'm happy with 2x dozen Slazengers for £11 and whatever I find in the rough. Lose two Slazengers, it's pennies, lose two Pro V1's, that's lunch.

Great video Peter. I also decided to try the Vice Pro Plus this year...because I found one. I immediately got 5-15 more yards with the driver and hit it longer than usual with all the clubs and it putted great. So I bought 5 dozen (which equates to $25 a dozen) of the very ones you played and am absolutely ecstatic about this ball and I just seem to make way more putts with it. I have been chasing par and a few under par the 2nd half of this year with that ball. The color yellow/green just seems to be easy to see and strike.
When I top the ball with every swing and waft it bouncing 50 yards does it really matter?
Answer: Range balls.

Played the vice pro plus this season. Love it. Great distance and good spin and control. Also had my first hole in one in august with it.
For the winter, I’m playing the Titleist AVX. I think it’s a great winter ball for our wet conditions here in Oregon (USA). That said, next spring, I want to do a thorough evaluation to select my next ball.

Been switching back and forth between Vice Pro and Pro Plus for about 3 years. I've tried every other ball i could get my hands on. Only one that I like as much was Mizuno rb Tour. But, vice is half the price.

Been using the Pro Plus most of the year. Best I've ever used for my swing.
Had been playing the Pro Plus, and loved them, but picked up the Vice Pro because I found the drip model and they look cool. I noticed my drives weren't as long, about 20 yards shorter on average, but I was much more consistent in my chips around the green than I was with the pro plus. Love them both, and when buying bulk on the website, it's about half what all the other premium balls cost. Not to mention it's what the cool kids are doing these days

Yessssss!!!! Finally VICE is properly rated on TH-cam. I’ve been gaming the prosoft for a couple of years & love it. They feel better than the pro plus and still have a great durability.

Great vid! Sad to see that srixon wasn’t tested though :(. I used to be a tp5 player but now play the vice pro plus and Srixon z stars. I prefer the z stars however.
I've been using Vice all year, I can say I was happier with losing a Vice than I would have been losing the higher priced balls. If I can straighten my drive I may cut my losses severely 😉. Ever better is the fact that nobody plays them so I can easily locate my errantly sprayed shot's on someone else's fairway 😂

I bought a few dozen Pro Plus balls a few months ago. I liked the better out of the variety pack I bought from Vice. Still shocked it beat out the TP5 and Pro V1. Great video Pete!
