  • This video is about the BEST POWDER RUNS in HIRAFU, the BEST POWDER RESORT in NISEKO, the POWDER HEAVEN of JAPAN. NOT BACKCOUNTRY. INSIDE the RESORT BOUNDARIES. WORLD CLASS POWDER. Beginner, intermediate, or advanced skier or boarder, if you love powder, if you crave powder, if you’re addicted to powder, HIRAFU has POWDER RUNS for ALL SKILL LEVELS. Yes, Niseko’s best powder runs are in the backcountry areas starting from the Peak, which you access from Gate #3. Reality is, the peak gate doesn’t open every day. Early season, bad weather, or elevated avalanche risk, there are many reasons. That doesn’t mean you can’t have an epic powder day. Watch this video to learn about where the best runs are located, how to get there, and the best lines to take. Even if you’re a beginner or intermediate rider, you will know where to go for your first run. Exploring is fun, but exploring takes time, precious time you could be shredding JAPOW. At the end of your trip, you don’t want to learn that there were powder runs you could have done, but didn’t because you didn’t know. Neither do I. That’s why I made this video, FOR YOU.
The amazing thing about Hirafu is that you don’t have to go out the gates and enter the backcountry to experience the pristine and deep powder that Niseko is famous for. You don’t even have to take several lifts to go high up the mountain to find the goods. One lift is all you need to enter Powder Paradise. In Hirafu, there are powder runs for all skill levels. Whether you’re a beginner trying to go through deep snow for the first time, or an advanced backcountry rider looking for steep and deep lines through trees and open faces, Hirafu can make any powder enthusiast’s dream come true. Hirafu stands out from the other Niseko resorts in two important respects. First is the quantity and variety of the powder runs within the resort. Hanazono, Niseko Village, and Annupuri all have excellent powder runs, true, but they just can’t match the number of powder runs you can find in Hirafu. Hirafu is the only place where you will often be able to ride deep powder on the slopes in the afternoon. It is also the only place, where you can ride deep powder in the evening. Furthermore, what truly sets Hirafu apart from the other resorts is the reliability of its infrastructure. Hirafu is the only resort with, not one, but two main lifts taking people up the mountain. And both lifts give you direct access to some of Niseko’s finest powder runs. Have and EPIC and POWDERFUL DAY!

Thanks for sharing, not sure why some people comment up in here like they own the mountain and believe certain areas only belong to them. Worst part is that they aren't even local.

I think you should also warn about the dangers of going on those runs. When I got injured there it took forever to get any help. Going down the mountain with a broken wrist is no fun at all people.

Way to ruin Hirafu more than the crowds already have. Not cool!
