Let's get this girl to 50k! I really like how you do NOT follow trends, create frantic chaos to run to the store to purchase the new flavor of the week or use the dreaded words "I'm obsessed" 🤮 but instead, use what you have, thrift or buy and show us different styling techniques. Watching you is like telling other influencers "Slow the hell down!" I never would've thought to use a charger turned upside down!
LK, I have been doing this for decades, honestly. In the beginning, it was mainly due to necessity (read poverty). But rich or poor, I still love the curated dining table. Often it is just for me and my husband. He enjoys seeing what objects I put together. I am stuck on dark cobalt blue. For me, it is a background color against which I can cast all kinds of colors. It works all year long, no matter the occasion. Thank you for sharing, as always.
What is consistent with all your designs is choosing a colour palate and sticking to it enough that you get some cohesion. Bit like doing a room, really. Love your aesthetic, and you have some really lovely thrifty pieces that make whatever you do unique. Great job, and I hope you are well and that your winter is not too cold.
LK, I’m not surprised your channel is growing! It’s been a hidden gem for far too long. Everyone needs some LK in their weekly TH-cam watch list. Keep on growing ❤
Love all the table settings! Much more interesting and full of character instead of laying out a full set of matching dishes, etc., which can be boring. It's so much fun to collect over time and mix and match. Great job!
I am so glad to have found this channel because you don't try to hawk random things, and just decorate tastefully with what you find! Also, I adore the moody mixed-metals table - I have a wrought-iron candelabra and I think I will use the inspiration for my holiday tables this season! Must must must run to the 2ndhand shop to look for cool tablecloths/runners, as I do not have enough that would go with this idea!
Score on the Bakelite flatware, NICE. Happy #2 Living with LK! Hahaha...name tag on the magnolia...my name is Annie, what time should I show up? Can I bring anything? Great vid, keep 'em coming.
Happy 2nd anniversary 🎉 I'm so glad I found your channel a number of months ago, I really love and appreciate your content and the obvious hard work that goes into it. 🤎
Thank you so much! I think if you follow the basic elements of design/style like texture, color, balance etc. you can achieve a unique cohesive look that is all your own : )
Happy 2nd anniversary, looking forward to many more! After years (actually decades) of white dish ware, I have acquired wood-look chargers, pine bough patterned plates, solid green plates and leaf/berry patterned salad/dessert plates. I’m loving the variety! Your examples are inspirational!
Now I think your dining area is my favorite place. Moody Mixed Metals. When you set that vintage orange bowl down I went I have got to have that!!! Your settings were very lovely and inviting!
You have such good taste. I live in a shared house and we don't have a dining room. I want to lay a beautiful table like yours! The coffee table will have to do!
I haven’t watched all the table scapes yet, but I just had to pause to say; no wonder your family likes you to host ! You have that big gorgeous table and you have a special talent for table scapes. I love #2 earthy vibe. Maybe another one will be my favourite since I haven’t finished the video yet. Anyway the tips and advice is so good
These are all so nice. Not even sure I can choose a favorite! You have some great pieces too and you have me so tempted to start collecting plates and dishes!
Do it! I mean do it intentionally haha I definitely don't encourage just having tons of plates but I think collecting ones that all generally go-together is the way to do it cheaply and unqiuely!
The “woodsy” table setting was my favorite. But I believe the spoon is placed next to the knives (blade towards the plate). I’m on the lookout for that garland
I'm setting my Thanksgiving table today, so I saved your video to watch this morning. I am truly inspired! Congratulations on two years on TH-cam!! AND, thank goodness there is another person who waits to decorate for Christmas after Thanksgiving!! I host Thanksgiving every year, so my fall decor stays out until then!!
I really like all the tables you decorated! I went thrifting last week and found some great Christmas items, but won’t be using them till after Thanksgiving!!
My favourite is the earthy one (because mushrooms) but they are all cool. Happy Thanksgiving US friends. I've been eating pumpkin and spice overnight oats this week in solidarity.
Your video triggered a forgotten memory. My grandma told me the order to lay the silverware at the place settings. (It’s different from how you did it, but that’s not relevant.) I made up a story in my head that the knife was the dad and the spoon was the daughter. The fork, on the left side of the plate, wanted to come over and date the spoon daughter. The dad’s sharp knife edge pointed to the plate so he could keep fight the boy fork and keep him away. ☺️ happy memory
I personally don’t think it matters! I don’t set my table for proper eating I just do it so it feels fun and festive. I’d assume it makes the most sense to put it on the side of someone’s dominant hand or in the center. I was forced to attend cotillion years back and hated the formality lol
I styled my bookcase in my thrifted living room makeover video! And I also restyled it in my october home update! I don't have a specific one though.. I can make one in the future!
@ Thanks! I’ll check those out, but a dedicated video explaining your “formula” would be really helpful for me, if you can fit it in. Happy Thanksgiving!

You've never decorated anything that I didn't love!
Do glasses go on left or right?

Title says "Using Only Thrifted Decor" but you actually used a lot of newly purchased items.
