I watched the last scene of The Rise of Skywalker while holding hands with the three greatest people to ever inhabit the Earth. That was probably the greatest day of my life. Star Wars fans may not all agree with each other, like the Disney sequel trilogy is good, but I think we can all agree that the soundtrack is the films are absolute bangers.
[TROS SPOILER] Would have loved to hear some of these classics in this epic medley when Rey is defeating Palpatine at the end of the movie. The force theme starts as all the Jedi voices speak to Rey and then Across the Stars plays as Anakin Walks up to Rey as a Force Ghost. And then Duel of Fates plays as she tries to defeat Palps. All the space battles, the lightsaber fights, the Force, the romance, the twists, aliens, robots, family and friends, heroes and villains, love and loss, good and bad. It's like seeing my life flash before my eyes. And it's bloody beautiful. Those last few notes I always picture Anakin and Shmi, Luke and Leia, Anakin's redemption, Yoda's death, and Obi-Wan saying "The Force will be with you, always."
