as a UNLV fan.....since the PAC poached those 4 schools.....instead of going to commit to another non power 4 conf.....I'd rather set our sights on the BIG 12 and do whatever is necessary to get UNLV attractive to the BIG 12. we have the facilities...we've proven to be able to compete..(see 2 victories over HOUSTON and KANSAS)...the las vegas market is good.....the heck with the PAC....concentrate on the BIG 12
Sorry bud, ain't happening. We're oversaturated in your tv market already having the 4-Corner schools + BYU. It wouldn't add any value to our conference. You bring no natural rivalries, no legacy, and not enough eyeballs on tv screens. It will be schools that have geographical rivalries and histories like Pitt and Louisville. That would give us WV, CINCY, PITT, and Louisville. After that a Clemson/FSU would be nice but more likely Miami and NCSU. Big brands, regional powers, and regional rivalries having UCF.
The Mountain West didn't get arrogant. Oregon State and Washington State wanted the majority of the revenue and the Mountain West didn't feel comfortable with that. I think they basically told them to their face that they know they're a rental. If that's true, that would definitely piss them off.

PAC needs to only add 'State' programs going forward. That's a great way to rebrand, and it just looks nice. Texas State needs to be a priority. They're on the up and up and the Austin area is a great recruiting footprint.
@@U.S.Male1 I'd love that, maybe complete the region with Arkansas State and New Mexico State. Honestly I'd really like to see NDSU and SDSU move up, and think the PAC State would be the perfect segway.

St. Louis University (Private) could join the Pac-12 from the Atlantic -10. @Mike-sp7zv I agree with you that the pac12 needs to go for quantity over quality. I'm worried about being to focused on the west coast because that's what ruined them the last time.
@@darealmvp2437 worried about academics and refusing to expand was a bigger issue than focusing on the west coast. Every other major conference has a geographical center. Once they establish that, they can try to grab a couple farther teams like an SMU, Memphis, and uconn as the acc falls apart
The ACC would gladly release CAL, STANFORD and/or SMU if requested with an amicable settlement. The new PAC should use its new base 6 to get those three and some 4Cs Unless there's a heavy ACC depletion to the SEC and B1G, no ACC member outside of FSU will likely move to the BIG12.
