If you're a younger person, consider a corded tool, as it will do the same job 20 years from now. Batteries are expensive, go bad, and are discontinued due to technological improvements. However, if you're a pro and use the tool most days in your trade, you'll be wearing out your tool typically at the same pace as technology changes and buying the latest tool every 3-4 years. However, go cordless if you work in areas where a cord isn't practical, or batteries are worth the convenience.

I have used Cordless, Corded and Air tools, gas powered tools and hydraulic powered tools for along time. My experience with all these different types of power tools has lead me to a current conclusion that for continuous work all day long day after day is that corded electric, air powered and hydraulic powered are still the top choices. I have many cordless electric tools. My biggest
concern with them is each brand uses a different battery to tool connection and different voltage. Replacement batteries are very expensive, you need several batteries charging ready to replace the tool battery you are using when it power is depleted to keep working adding to overall tool cost.

Batteries and chargers should be kept in a cabinet that has fire suppression technology in it! (There no telling when your Battery may explode and burn your whole shop, garage, or house down!)

@@autumngrace8541 I have NOT experienced this personally, and I do NOT know anyone that has! But having said that I do know that it has happened in my neighborhood, and it is very easy to find many, many, instances of this happening if you search online!
Home Improvement stores are shoving battery-operated tools down everyone's throat, yet most people don't consider the dangers involved!
I can understand the want to not have to lay out and collect cords for corded tools and distance if your in the wilderness and need to use them, and the fact gas is so high!
But there is also another big factor coming that most people ignore: There is a shortage of lIthium! So after you've spent 1,000's of dollars on batteries and chargers, soon you will have to go back to corded tools because the batteries will be unavailable or too expensive for you!
Use your brain - Stick with the cord!

Both Corded tools and Cordless Tools are great but you have to base on the kind of jobs and situation to choose the suitable tools

As someone who rarely has need to use his power tools, I much more prefer corded over battery. Back when I first started out and did have a cordless drill, it was always dead when I needed it. Yes, I know I could just keep the charging cable plugged, but the idea of having 5 or 6 tools plugged in at all times now for the one time a year I need just seems silly.

I was just about to buy a drill and was thinking the same. If I'm gonna use it once a year, then I don't want my batteries failing when I need them.

There’s a point to note tool companies like Stanley Black & Decker and TTI mainly because of the advancement and OSHA regulations have been moving everything to high output low risk pouch batteries. I think by the time Stanley Black & Decker and their offshoot company. Dewalt releases their 15 amp hour or 20 amp hour power stock battery in “the next 5 to 10 years” SB&D will expect all tools to be battery powered.
So it doesn’t matter if people think that corded tools are better they’re going out, eventually because of OSHA and government regulations we’re not gonna have corded tools, unless they’re all contractor grade, or specifically do not qualify as hand tools.

Hey it I just wanna let you all know that I am trying to like the video. Thank you by the way for the video it was fairly unformative and pretty much boils down to what I thought it was which is which is depends on what kind of job you got to do and how you feel about doing it. If you're on a job site and you're a guy that likes to walk around with the tool in his hand and Not really do anything except for kissing the boss's ass then more than likely cordless it's gonna be exactly what you wactually what you want. If you're like me and don't actually work on a site and have like a 1000 miles of extension cord then I might want to use corded
