Got to see the HU live about a year ago and let me tell you they bring it Live. The energy they got going was so infectious. One Hell of a show!
The Hu is a Mongolian folk metal band formed in 2016. Incorporating traditional Mongolian instrumentation, including the morin khuur, the tovshuur, and throat singing. Throat singing is usually not really my cup of tea but this collab was fire, and as LP comes in I get crazy chills.

I love The Hu. Mongolian Folk Metal band. Did not discover them until early in 2021. My favorite song is Yuve Yuve Yu but Song of Women, Sad but True, and the The Great Chinggis Khaan are also favorites. This new song is pretty good too. I had never heard of LP until I came accross the Hu collab. Great reaction especially as you did not have the lyrics.🥰 You might be interested in Otyken from Siberia singing Genesis. This is another really interesting Rock-Folk band I think you would love.🥰🥰🥰Great dream about experiencing a culture but very difficult in real life for the family. I used to work on a farm that provided farm vacations and it was exhausting trying to work and watch the guests while they "helped" They had good intentions but because they lack even basic knowledge they created so much more work than they contributed. Only works if the money coming in is high enough to cover an extra person to cover the lost labour while interacting and teaching the guests. 🤣🥰🥰🥰Hugs from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦
“The Wolf Totem” is actually from a 12th century Mongolian poem that the HU shortened and put to music. The “XXL Violin” (as you called it) is the Morin Khuur (Horse Head Fiddle), it has 2 “strings” that (traditionally) are made from the tail hairs from a horse (traditionally the hairs must come from the player’s own horse to bind player to instrument and vice versa), the “Male” string has 150 hairs and the “Female” string has 130 hairs. The “guitar” is actually a Tovshuur (Mongolian Lute) and only has 3 strings.
Probably the only Metal Band in the World, where all the members went their country's Music Conservatoire. This is a bit more like Hanggai (another Mongolian band) than The HU's usual full on Metal. The Wolf Totem, Yuve, Yuve, Yu, Chinggis Khan are wonderful. I prefer their versions on their own without "celebrity" Collaborations (Jackoby Shaddix, Lzzy Hale, Will Duvall) except their collaboration with Danny of From Ashes to New on Yuve, Yuve, Yu which works so well. The Hu are breaking the West, and have a good TH-cam profile. They even have a cookery series.. wait for it.. "HU's in the kitchen". 😂

LP is magical. That unique voice stands out anywhere, anyhow.

I would argue all spiritual/true religious people love life,nature, the creation. Unfortunately to many people today seem to only value what can be bought for money.
If I spent 1 hour every day for 365 days writing down potential collabs I would never had thought of this one =) I think u have done The HU once before on the channel. They are a mongolian band.

The next two shows on my schedule are Hu on September 8, followed by LP in November. Very excited for both - second time for LP whom I adore. You would enjoy their other stuff as well: from original songs (subtitle for amazing lyrics) to Metallica covers to Song of Women featuring Lizzy Hale (they seem to love powerhouse American rock singers).
