Transfiguration is really important because it is part of the promise of Jesus for all of us, mentioned in revelations. We receive new spirit bodies, which Elijah and Moses have already received as an early adopter prototype. So ya, I am disappointed with depictions of this scene as well.

They can t exclude it.This is very important. It was real. And it s not wrong to include this in this show,Jesus (like a beautiful light) with 2 important men.
This show us Jesus is God (He and the Father are one=Bc of the soul)And it s only one true God.
    It s very important!

in truth all things are revealed ..therefore the transfiguration should of been implemented in these series

Actually the show is about the people around Jesus, not Himself. It focuses on people encountering Jesus and being around Him. Cheers. :)

Season 5 will contain Holy week where the Transfiguration would happen. Season 4 is before Holy Week, therefore it is not in S4......

Nope, Matthew 17 is before holy week, and most likely happens at Mount Hermon, which is near the location of Matthew 16:13 (Caesarea Philippi - i.e. "The Gates of Hell"). Disappointed that they didn't do this in Season 4 episode 2/3, but I get they can't do everything...
Recommend reading "Reversing Hermon: Enoch, the Watchers, and the Forgotten Mission of Jesus Christ" by Dr. Michael Heiser for more on this topic

I’ve just recently been looking into the transfiguration, and I’m wondering if in part is a small thank you to Moses and Elijah for their devotion. Just a small part.

I think it may also be because of another artistic desire: Not to use CGI as much as possible. As far as I'm aware, the only scene in the Chosen that used any sort of CGI was Jesus walking on water, and that was merely because they needed a storm and a controllable environment to make sure that the actors were safe. Didn't need Shahar Issac (Simon Peter) to start sinking into the water and not be able to surface because the real storm they got worse or for Jonathan Roumie (Jesus) to be standing on whatever platform they would use for him to walk on only to slip and fall off because it was slippery or a strong gust of wind blew him off the platform. So, CGI was the only way to safely do that scene and to allow for the storm to actually calm when command it. The transfiguration, however, would require CGI to accurately portray it. The CGI would have to be absolutely perfect to remain believable and not distracting since there are many people that would be turned off by the effects. Not to mention the fact that the CGI would have to match Jonathan Roumie's exact movements throughout the entire scene, especially since the Bible says that Jesus was talking with Moses and Elijah while this happened. I'm no film maker... but that sounds like a nightmare where one wrong move could rip the entire audience out of the story.

i genuinely don't think movie can depict that scene in a way that is not corny - hence the best version being a cartoon- so i'm very happy they didn't include it

But it was real. They can include it.God is not a fairytale.
And for God, anything is possible, even the transfiguration.

@@vladtepes4824 ofc but there has to be a lot of care and consideration in depicting supernatural to not make it into fairytale, or caricature. they could include it, but they didn't, it makes sense why, it doesn't mean it didn't happen. it's a tv show.

"I am the law of Moses" is not in the Bible. Dallas is adding to scripture and he's dragging all of the actors in with him.
    Deuteronomy 4:2
2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
    Revelation 22:18-19
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Matthew 5:17 (“Do not think that I have come to abolish Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”) It is not directly heretical for the series character to say that. A lot of events in the Bible don't Have much details explained and dialogue can be narrow at times. The writers Have to add these "out of the Scripture" lines to fill the gaps. The verses you put mostly refer adding to the laws of God or changing it and saying it is of God. Quran is such an example.

They are not adding anything to the bible, dallas wholeheartedly believes it is the perfect, inerrant and complete, powerful word of god. They are merely making a tv show *heavily inspired* by the scriptures and their historical context. He has addressed this not only in the very beginning of the series before the first picture rolls, but also in a video on their channel (i don't 4emember how i gound it but if you yt-search your question, you will for sure find it...) Good luck and peace out
