Everyone mentions the CGI bird and knocks it until you realize that that bird is in 1/3rd gravity. Go back and watch it again with that in mind and you will notice the attention to detail the show puts out. The bird does not need to flap it's wing as much. It's awesome you are watching The Expanse, buckle up cowboy! :D
The bird is actually in less than 1/3rd gravity because, being a poor Belter, Miller's apartment is closer to the center of Ceres, where the spin-induced gravity is lower.
hi darnell:) it was me lol it was me bugging you "watch the expanse watch the expanse watch the expanse" haha im happy to revisit this with you...the good ole days! hope you & the family are well xx
For Uncle Mateo opening his helmet to vacuum, that's actually possible so long as you breathe out while exposed to vacuum (the lack of atmosphere would pop your lungs if you hold your breathe with 1 atmosphere in them). Most sci Fi doesn't depict space exposure correctly, there's no matter to help release or absorb heat from your body, so you don't instantly freeze or anything. The big issue is lack of oxygen, so a quick visor opening and closing won't kill you so long as your suit has more oxygen to refill your helmet when you close it.
The drug cocktail used to counteract the effects of acceleration is called The Juice. It basically supports the cardiovascular system to prevent stroking out.
Insightful and hilarious reaction; two hours is a real treat! Favorite bit was probably "not too busy for these bullets" or "don't let it marinate" but there were a couple of other great one-liners tucked in there. Hope you continue to enjoy the show.
It is not just Earth's gravity that hurts the Belter. It is also the pressure of the atmosphere that we humans take for granted, but people growing up on Mars or in the Belt cannot.
People have to pay attention while watching The Expanse because Ty, Daniel, and Naren Shankar treat physics (as we now know it) as a character in the narrative. The speed of light hampers communication across interplanetary distances. Spaceships don't have windows, which are a single point of failure in a vacuum, instead relying on video monitors to show data collected from exterior sensor clusters.

love watching your reaction to this amazing show, thank you. (The Birds Fly Differently due to the lower Gravity on the asteroid stations)

hi

you can find his reactions to the whole thing in his playlist on his ch :)
Glad you’re liking it! Welcome to the fandom.
I’m also glad you decided to watch more than 1 episode.
hey, yeah I already watched this great series. This is just a supercut of the reactions I did for it.

In low gravity a bird doesn’t have to flap it’s wings as much
Belters, as a society, have a very Utilitarian sense of morality and ethics, starting with "looking out for number one " and proceeding from there.
