The final moments of the 3rd Season of BSG are, in my opinion, the best moments ever broadcast. This music is some of the most epic frakking stuff the human ear has ever heard. Kudos, man.
Up to the season finale, and most of season 4, but the final season was a letdown, especially the long winded anti-climactic finale with the idiotically pointless and out of place flashbacks. I expected so much more from the Final 5 twist and Starbucks reincarnation. Like, how about some flashbacks to Cylon Earth, instead (other than Chief buying fruit at a lame outdoor market)? Or seeing who Daniel was, or showing what happened to Starbuck after exploding, or using Tory as the constantly dangerous wild card instead of a boring affair with Baltar...oh and killing Callie). Maybe even seeing the Black Centurions on Cylon Earth in action? Ronald D Moore had turned into little more than a soap opera by that point...
Compare your stated expectations with current tv episode availability. Your expectations seem weak but not invalid. Get the LGBTQ elemental requirement out and just let folks create. I guaranty you'll get better results than the garbage currently being pushed.
XO: The outage was fleet wide admiral It will take the fleet ships at least to be able to spool up their jump drives ....Admiral....we just dont have 20 minutes
Me too. Even now at the end of 2022 it stays with me. I have long been a Bob Dylan fan but the musical buildup for these Battlestar Galactica scenes were tense and just bloody brilliant!
I had to stop because between crying, I almost squeezed my phone apart. This is maybe My favorite song of all time. Especially based off tears. This song always ma makes me cry. Even now, I'm texting this through tears. I don't know why it effects me so, but it does....
It does a very good job of evoking emotions, made for the most intense parts of the show. When i listen it i can imagine what people would feel if the show was a real scenario; Confusion, desperation, fear, anger, chaos, loss, and survivors guilt. hopeless, yet still drivin by the indomitable human (and cylon) will to survive despite overwhelming odds.
Same, every time I have a bad seizure and my brain is swelling I listen to the scene with Starbuck playing the piano over and over and it takes the swelling down.
Gives me goosebumps.... Frak me!!! :-) I was buzzing when I 1st heard this, and it made me go back and watch BSG start 2 finish all over again lol. Epic... So Say We All!!!
This is really really good. It always bugged me that there wasnt a long cut of cylon themes. They are woven so well into the show and really convey that feeling of claustrophobia and paranoia. I listen to this and im transported back to the cramped sweaty corridoors of galactica. Thanks
There must be some kind of way outta here Said the joker to the thief There's too much confusion I can't get no relief Business men, they drink my wine Plowman dig my earth None were level on the mind Nobody up at his word Hey, hey No reason to get excited The thief he kindly spoke There are many here among us Who feel that life is but a joke But, uh, but you and I, we've been through that And this is not our fate So let us stop talkin' falsely now The hour's getting late, hey All along the watchtower Princes kept the view While all the women came and went Barefoot servants, too Outside in the cold distance A wildcat did growl Two riders were approaching And the wind began to howl

Awesome! I watched BSG in its entirety when I was post-op bedridden for 4 weeks in 2010. When the first clues started coming during S4 I was totally gobsmacked. How does anything get more exciting than this, I thought? I still play the various soundtracks. Good job on this my friend!
Very nice! Kara Remembers is one of the best and my favorite song. The soul, rhyme, rhythm, the places it takes you to and emotion that comes from it is undeniable. Nice mix.
Didn't realy got the meaning of this song when I saw the TV Show for the first and second time. But this year after I saw it the third time it just got stuck in my head XD after the piano scene it just burned in
This has to be one of the best edits put together so far, that I've heard. Thanks for uploading this. BSG is the most awesome Sci-fi show ever...I've watched the whole series way too many times.
The contemplation of how old we all actually are uplifts and crushes me simultaneously. As collections of cells with a singular consciousness we identify our age as the period that began from the time we became physically separated from our mothers at birth. From a substantive point of view the compounds comprised of atoms and particles which we are made of were collected throughout our lives from our environment. These building blocks have existed from the time of the universe's creation. In reality we are all billions of years old. That's what this song in that scene with Kara means to me. The interconnected Universe where math, waves, particles and time make soulfilling music.
Don't they confirm in the show (subtly hinting) that in a former life one of the cylons (I think sam) was actually Hendrix himself (or a precious version from the last earth)
I've never heard a bad version of Watchtower, DarthHugsALot. Although I have to agree with Eliza Wilson on this one; the dramatic build-up (over several episodes) to the BSG version makes it an absolutely spectacular experience. Eliza, Bear McCreary is a fantastic film/TV composer. He did the opening credits to Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles too, which is a GREAT piece of music, along with Eureka, Caprica, Defiance....quite a few. Also does The Walking Dead. I'm a big fan.
Kit Toner I'm sooooo going to hunt up TH-cam videos of Bear McCreary's music as per your references in comment above. 'Cause his cover of AAtW is wonderful. Signed: A. Lyon, aka Wicked Good Grrrl
I'm glad I could put you onto his music, Andrea Lyon Talent like that deserves credit. :) I'd say his intro music for Sarah Connor Chronicles is my favourite. Let me know which you like best when you've listened.
All I can imagine relistening to this is how frakking tanky the Galatica is - getting absolutely hammered point blank by a space station for like the entire runtime of this song.
This is a fantastic mix! Thank you very much for mixing this and posting it. It's too bad Sci-Fi didn't include this as part of the soundtrack they sold. It's all there of course but you have to go skipping around all the different songs in order to get the full effect, and it's just not the same. But this? This is perfect, just close your eyes and immerse yourself.

Said the joker to the thief
There's too much confusion
I can't get no relief
Business men, they drink my wine
Plowman dig my earth
None were level on the mind
Nobody up at his word
Hey, hey
No reason to get excited
The thief he kindly spoke
There are many here among us
Who feel that life is but a joke
But, uh, but you and I, we've been through that
And this is not our fate
So let us stop talkin' falsely now
The hour's getting late, hey
All along the watchtower
Princes kept the view
While all the women came and went
Barefoot servants, too
Outside in the cold distance
A wildcat did growl
Two riders were approaching
And the wind began to howl
mais je ne veux pas partir de cette terre
c'est chez moi ici
c'est chez nous
Used my head phones...it was mesmerizing and overwhelming.
