The movie Berlin is a spy thriller set in the politically charged atmosphere of New Delhi during the early 1990s. Directed by Atul Sabharwal, the film stars Aparshakti Khurana, who plays Pushkin Verma, a sign language expert brought in to help interrogate a deaf-mute man (played by Ishwak Singh) suspected of being a foreign spy. As the story unfolds, Pushkin finds himself entangled in a web of intrigue between rival intelligence agencies. The film also stars Rahul Bose, Anupriya Goenka, and Kabir Bedi​!
Aparshakti Khurana, in an intense and challenging role, portrays a character far outside his usual comfort zone. He noted that the project required him to delve into a complex psychological space, making it one of his most rewarding performances to date. Ishwak Singh, who plays the accused spy, described his role as the most challenging of his career, as it required mastering sign language to authentically portray his character​!
The film had its world premiere at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles in 2023 and is now available for streaming on ZEE5
