  • Sorry I said in the video you won't need the DDC rode from brocks and you will need it. The bike won't calibrate without it.

So when making this video, i rode the bike. It never threw a code. I thought you didn't need it, but when i went into calibration for the ddc rode it wouldn't calibrate. So I ended up installing the one i had. I would recommend switching it out to the brocks adjustable DDC rod.

@@thatm1kguy Brock’s is out of stock for the DDC. You think it will be okay to ride until I get the DDC? I won’t be doing anything crazy to the bike yet.

@RevItSammy i wouldn't go riding curvy roads on it but just riding around town and highways yeah it will be fine. If you get that code though i wouldn't ride it much

I appreciate the hell out of this video. I got the 1” bt Moto link but no way in the hell am I doing the 2” link teardown Bt defaults to with tank etc removed. I was going to just shit can the whole process but you all give me faith it can be done with out even lifting rear subframe. Got the center lift and motion pro deluxe suspension service bearing removal tool set so I got the stuff. Might need to see exactly what style 55torx works best to fit up on that super buried upper traction strut even with lifting bike in center. No impact so could get tricky. That helps avoid really moving bike around to break those loose and retorque. Might have to just get one if it gets harry. Thought about running straps to cleats in concrete floor just to keep it steady without lift. That S1000RR is the biggest PITa to work on. Had many liter bikes. But none so fantastic either. Sweet machines and video. 👍

Only place you need to put a jack is on the oil pan. That way you can raise and lower the bike safely. That jack i used works perfectly because you can raise and lower at very small amounts
