I'm impressed at how they handled in animating a PV based on a PC98 game. They even noted the fact that Kotohime is a POLICE OFFICER!!
It's easier for them to notice that aspect behind the endings in Touhou 3 because they speak the language it's in after all. ^^;
But I agree, they defiantly payed Touhou 3 the proper homage it deserves in many respects altogether here.
But they completely missed the fact that Reimu COULDN'T FLY on her own in PC-98 era.
@@KazeKoichi only touhou in 2. also technically in touhou 1, but the game had reimu be on the ground all the time.
touhou 3-5 shows reimu flying without the turtle, so she can fly in the majority of the games.
also just to clarify, this MV is based on touhou 3 where reimu already could fly.

それから2年が過ぎ、今見ると鳥肌がやばい。今なら旧作ってハッキリと分かる
俺も東方知って1.2年たったときに 誰もキャラ分からんかった記憶あるかも

I love the Touhou PC-98 era.
Honestly though; Touhou PC-98 has got some of the best music, amazing humor, and an extremely colorful cast of characters. It's a shame that it's been so under-appreciated, but I'm glad to see that this circle has tackled PC-98 Touhou, it's a treat. Well done SOUNDHOLIC, you've done a fan of that timeline justice.

Lunairetic I think some of us would like to see more PV's with the story depth of "Priere," which Sound Holic released three years ago. Granted, the lyrics in this video do tell a story...but if you watch "Priere" you'll notice the difference between its atmosphere of mystery and sadness and that of this video, which mostly has a lot of flashes and explosions (I do enjoy explosions, though).
Just shut up and enjoy the epicness of danmaku battles, the actual point of Touhou? Good lord, this ungrateful fanbase...
私は旧作がしっくり来るみたいですw
原作では実は教授は長髪で腰まで髪の毛がありますね。とりあえずソクラテスがいるのに酷使されている玄爺がいないとは…教授はwin版での復活が噂されることもありましたけど、実際復活することはあるのだろうか？東方史上最強ボスの一角である教授が復活するのが楽しみではある。魅魔も復活したらいいな。あそこまでのカリスマキャラは他にいない。
なにせ魅魔はSTGゲーム東方projectシリーズの元祖ラスボスですからな………元祖ラスボスと言っても二作目だけどね

It would be interesting to see a anime of classic Touhou. The PC-98 games despite having not much of characters like the modern one, it definitely had some if the most strongest villains out there (and no, im not only referring to Mima)!

Someday, scientific phenomena will discover rulea beyond rules to how these systems work. This actually inspired me to start building a quantum energy telepole. For wireless communication that is not bandwidth but something completely else.
